Comment:

This teacher is probably one of the worst and laziest professors at the University. He doesn't care what the students think or have learned before the class. He thinks that everyone knows just as much about computers as he does, and he "teaches" that way. He his way to picky with his grading. The only positive is that his tests are pretty easy.

Comment:

Dr. Zeiler is one of the biggest turnoffs in the entire deparment (which as a whole is pretty crappy). He does not do a good job explaining course material, and he is unnecessarily rude and demeaning to students. He really takes away the incentive to participate in class, and is very tough and biased in grading assignments and tests.

This man's extraordinary intelligence is eclipsed only by his extreme ego. He is brilliant and wants you to know it and class time will be spent convincing you as such with little regard for subject matter or student comprehension. Will not give help outside of class and expects the students to know what he wants without telling them.

Dr. Zeiler is very intimidating at first. He knows what he is talking about, but sometimes has trouble putting it into terms a sophomore in AEM can understand. As the semester has progressed, I have begun to enjoy him and his class. His tests are very easy as long as you have an idea of what is going on.

He makes the class hard. You have to do a lot of learning on your own. but thats how he likes it. you do the work. Good teacher though. ive learned more from him than i have all of college

He was the reason I changed my major. I learned more sitting at home. He doesn't even comprehend what he teaches. The book was a waste of money. He draws on a projector all class talking about useless information, then assigns homework that is completely off topic. Good luck!

Dr. Zeiler does not seem to care about the students. Not a very good teacher or advisor. He is tenured and has the attitude that he can do whatever he wants, since he "can't be fired." Avoid whenever possible.

Terrible Terrible teacher and human being. His tests are nothing whatsoever related to his teachings or the text. Steer clear! Go to the older guy in the department, he's a genius, and loves one-on-one time.

All i have to say is...when Dr. Carr told people they would be better off dropping and taking it later...i decided to join the REST of my class. (since everyone but 10 or so students dropped)
