Class is basically just a rant of how the government is not working efficiently and then he gives the test and no one knows what he's talking about unless you read his personal textbook which is also just a big rant. But there is a decent amount of extra credit.

Class discussions are your key to understanding the material Homework is optional but helps replace your lowest test grade Text book is expensive and honestly I didn't read it that much. Wall street journal reading is relevant and interesting.

Okay so. Everyone hates on this teacher. He's a nice guy that gives long lectures that are hard to sit through and he is very opinionated, SO ALWAYS ANSWER HOW HE WOULD. but... He does give a tonnnn of extra credit. I would get C's on tests but I ended with a B because I did the extra credit paper. Definitely do it.

Dr. Tacker is thorough but interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and took a lot away from the class. His tests are tough but he has extra credit through homework and paper to help your grade if you need it.

Professor Tacker is an ok choice, but take economics with someone else if you have another option. Tests (difficult) are worded in a way that will confuse you, even if you have a great understanding of each concept. On the positive side there is a 7-10 page extra credit paper, at the end of the year, that can potentially boost you a letter grade.

Pretty interesting lectures filled with examples and stories. You'll take lots of notes. Most homework is optional, but it is not difficult and it really helps you solidify your understanding of the material.

Great Professor. He's very respectful, and understanding of students. He gets that we have lives outside of the class. The homework is optional, but I recommend doing it. Tests are important, but curved. No projects, but extra credit options are available. Make sure you study for the tests, but it most likely wont be overly time consuming.

Great Professor. When you didn't understand something or he was moving to fast all you had to do was raise your hand. Wanted you to be in class but is pretty lenient on attendance. Will be taking this professor again for next Econ course

This guy is pretty good. It does get confusing sometimes, especially if you have no prior economics knowledge. He teaches from a purely free-market economist standpoint which I think is good for getting down to a solid understanding of econ. Tests are curved quite a bit, I suggest doing the HW, it helps out too. Overall, nice guy though!

First economics class I ever took and I loved it. Very friendly guy and is truthful about economics, not misleading. His classes are all based on lectures but take good notes and you'll do well. Lots of extra credit opportunities to boost your grade. Tests are tough, but he curves them significantly. Would recommend.

Honestly it's up to you if you want to pass this class. I got a B because I did poorly on the tests, but there is a huge curve. I got an A on the huge extra credit paper at the end which boosted up my grade a letter and also did all of the homework which boosted my grade another letter. Amazing teacher who knows his stuff but the subject is hard

One of the worst teachers I've ever had. He's very obnoxious and loud when teaching. Everything is very confusing, he's not clear about anything. Doesn't tell you what's on the test, notes are super confusing, lectures are useless. Tests are extremely difficult and he knows it and doesn't care, he curves tests though.

great professor. test are difficult but have a huge curve, around 30 points!!! offers an extra credit at the end of semester that will bring you up a whole letter grade. no assigned home work but if you do your homework, he will drop your lowest test grade and replace it wit your average HW grade. lectures are a little long but mostly interesting.

Tacker is a nice guy. Tests are a little challenging but curved. He offers a big extra credit paper at the end of the semester that can seriously bring your grade up. As long as you write the paper, you're guaranteed an A.

Seriously such a good teacher. Knows his stuff and isn't afraid to tell the truth about our government systems. Economics makes so much more sense, tests are curved and classes are relatable to real life. He makes economics simple and interesting AND he's always willing to help if you have questions.

Good guy. He knows his stuff. Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you're conservative and like small government, this class is an easy A. Test are hard, but talk to him during office hours, and he will clarify things for you. Be prepared to read the Wall Street Journal for 16 weeks.

If you are a conservative, then this class will be a breeze. (It requires common sense.) Also, if you read the Wall Street Journal, this class is a must for you. I would have him as a teacher again in a heartbeat. The only people I hear say bad things about his class are usually liberals/have little to no common sense.

If you want to do well in this class, just think "What would tacker say?" while taking the tests. In my opinion, his classed is ridiculously biased and I tend to disagree with the majority of his beliefs. He's a great guy, but he also teaches his class as wealth and economics being the most important thing in life, THE most important.
