Comment:

He is nice teacher, but is very very hard on grading. When a group of us who are A students asked him how he grades and about assignments, he said "Don't worry if you do the work you'll get an A". That was a lie. Its like he had to find something wrong with assignments, so you would not get an A. He was the only teacher we could take.

He said the quizzes were straight from the book. I read and highlighted the chapters could not find half of the information. He grades assignments WAY TOO HARD! I only took him because he is the only one who does it online. I also wasted a day driving 2 hours to daytona for his orientation, which was completely pointless!

Comment:

The class kind of stinks because your grade is only based on about 200 points, so if you mess up on one thing you are kind of screwed. The tests count for most of your grade but test you on your memorization of pointless concepts you'll never use again. Very narrow-minded and harsh grading system.

Professional Teaching Practices.... I think he's a great teacher!! Gives u only the important concepts from text...very clear on what's on tests...explains projects very clearly...funny teacher...makes class interesting: not just lecturing...very intelligent guy!

I took two classes from him. Some people don't like him but the classes he teachers are hard no matter who you take and I think he is easier than other teachers would probably be. He gives rubrics and lots of details for what he wants from the assignments. Expect group work, discussions, papers,etc. work hard & u will get an A. Very nice guy,funny

This professor was very hard. I felt he had alot to prove due to the fact that he was like fourteen with a PHD. The man knows philosophy like Doogie Howser knows medicine.

Tough grader. He is also Paul Stewart. Material was tough. Text was hard to understand. If you had any problems he always let you talk to him about it. Not an easy "A"

Sets rubrics but then is very subjective in grading. Material does not pertain in any way to being in the classroom. Uses a lot of group work, which is good but then allows fellow students to grade your work. Does not return assignments in a timely manner.

Very good teacher. First test was a little hard but he listened to what we had to say, and made the second test easier. Lots of group work, which makes the class interesting. Take him if you can!
