Comment:

Mr. Flake is an amazing teacher. I have taken 3 of his classes and he was one of my favorite professors of all time. He always is willing to listen to his students and will offer any help possible. He prints out the notes for you, all you need to do is fill in the blanks. If you show up to class, do notes, and pay attention, you will pass.

Comment:

Mr. Flake is one of my favorite instructors I've had in my entire life. He has a great sense of humor and a lot of life experiences that make his lectures very enjoyable. The class consists of about 4-5 chapter tests and a final exam, each of which you study for with fill-in-the-blank notes.

Mr. Flake is a tough teach only in the sense that his test can be hard to study for. He gives a lot of information so it can be hard to narrow down what you need to study. All of his tests are either multiple choice or T & F. Other than that he is a good teacher and definitely knows what hes talking about when it comes to Marriage and the Family.

He is very opinionated and not in the good way he is very hard to not hate in my opinion. I love sociology and he made me hate it. I despise going to class every night. He has changed the class this year to just promote black lives matter the entire class which is irritating on the best of nights. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER

I took 3 of Mr. Flake's classes and would take them again. The tests are all fill in the blank but they are straight from your notes so it's very easy. You don't need to get the textbook.

I loved Mr. Flake's class. As a guy who experiences same-sex attraction, I felt that his teaching methods and ideas were fair and tolerant. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed in his class as long as respect is maintained. His Intro to Sociology class was fascinating and made me want to major in Sociology. His quirky nature is fun to be around.

I 'm a soc major. Took all his classes. Good instructor. Not too difficult. I would say easy B plus rather than A. Though with a little reading from the textbook it becomes an Easy A class, if you're willing to read a little.

Flake is really easy going and amazing at teaching. He doesn't give out any homework except for the big project that you have all of semester to work on. We do a lot of in class notes, quizzes and tests, but as long as you study, they are easy. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed the class.

Mr. flake is an awesome teacher no matter what he teaches, he is very educated in socilogy and has alot of experience in the subject metter. it isnt necessary to get the text book, i only used it once the entire semester. so SAVE yourself some money and dont worry about it. if you really need it, then you can borrow one from the library.

He was one of the best teachers I ever had. I took two classes from him and loved them both. I learned more in his class than any other class I took at EAC. I took his classes almost 3 years ago and still remember the things I learned. He is awesome. I definitely recommend him.

I like his teaching so much I took two classes from him! Flake basically keeps it real. Hes uses study guides alot to focus his teaching on what will be on tests if you know the study guides well no problem. I hardly ever studied and got a B+. If you take a little time it should go all well!

Mr. Flake is a great teacher who researches his topics through carefully. Flake talks about both sides of issues and reports only facts and statistics. He makes it very clear when using his own opinion. You can pass any of his classes by turning in assignments (very few) and using his study guides for the test. NO BOOK NEEDED!

In some areas of his teaching he really had no clue as to what he was talking about. Especially on gay issues. He allowed his religion to cloud his teaching too much on gay issues, single parent families, unmarried couples and many others.
