DO NOT SKIP THIS CLASS. You will be lost! He quizzes you every week on the material and if you miss class, you will be painfully behind. The homework is optional, but DO IT. It helps with the quizzes. He can lecture the entire class and if you dont stop him to ask a question, he will keep going.

Your grades are an online 10 mc quiz each week. Your only other grade is a mid term and final and they are only 8 and 10 questions mc. I am now going to try and take his class online, since I had to withdraw from his class after I failed his mid-term. My advice is to take his class online. Overall Dr. Li seems very nice, just grades very harsh.

I reccmonnd everyone to take his online math courses. They're easy, only consist of weekly homework, discussion board, and 2 test. Go to the math lab if you aren't good in math!

Dr. Li is a bad teacher. Seeing that this is a class for non majors, it seems that he would be better at explaining things or would attempt to explain them at all. He speaks in a low voice and never engages the class, which makes it way too easy to tune him out. Don't take his class

I took Professor Li for Survey of Calc. I already took Calculus in high school, so I didn't find his class to be too challenging. He is a very nice man, and he is willing to help you out if you put forth the effort. The downside is that you have a lot of homework, and his quizes/test are more advanced than the homework problems.

Very nice professor! Calculus is hard, but he is always willing to help. ALWAYS show up to class (not mandatory, but will be helpful to your grade), weekly quizzes are given. Do homework for practice. Very few exams.

Dr. Li is an easy teacher if you are good at math. There was weekly homework, 3 tests, and a cumulative final. 5% free on your semester average if you show up everyday. Literally, every day. Take someone else if you aren't good at math or if you don't have a strong math background.

He makes everything much more complicated than necessary. His notes are confusing, and his tests are much more difficult than any of the homework he gives. Plus he is extremely boring, and he is bad at explaining things.

Ok so if youve taken calculus before and youre descent at it then youll do fine in this class. Otherwise stay far far away. He doesnt work out the problems in class because they are already on his computer so when they are on the projector and he's explaining them you have no idea whats going on. He's a really nice guy but terrible at teaching.

I LOVE MY CALC 1 TEACHER FROM HIGH SCHOOL. It is because of him that i have a 110 in Lis class right now. Li however overcomplicates things and makes u do more work than necessay. I find calculus easy but i can say that his tests are much harder than the online homework so i can understand how some people dont feel prepared. Hes very boringand dull

You have a quiz once a week, two tests, and a final exam. If you have an A you don't have to take the final. He's such a great teacher and he gives so much partial credit and bonus. If you even try a little you should get an A. I would reccomend him!!

Failed both tests with a 65 and a 31, turned in the final half blank, still ended up with a B+...just get 100% on all of the take home quizes, which arn't bad and if you do get confused, go ask him for help. that way he at least knows your trying. also make sure you do the extra credit if he gives you the option, helps your grade a whole lot

He is a awesome teacher! Although his test are totally hard, they count for so little. His take-home quizzes are easy 100s' with extra bonus points too. If you do the quizzes and bomb the tests, you can still get an A.

Prof. Li probably has one of the most entertaining classes at Loyola. The tests are not difficult and the take home quizzes are easy. Pay attention to him and take good notes and it will be an easy A/B class. And people tend to exaggerate his accent. It's not bad. Very funny and approachable person

Sit up front and pay attention. It'll make understanding him easier. The guy does have a rather thick accent and he speaks rather softly, but if you have his notes printed out and you follow along, this is not hard at all. The trickiest part is getting used to the homework program.
