He reveaked he is retiring and we were all so sad! He is super flexible, patient, and transparent. Its hard to fail it you show up and turn in homework. Math is by far my worst subject so taking it with Scanlon made me hate it a little less.

Professor Scanlon is an amazing teacher and he gives you a review sheet before each test and the tests are very easy as long as you study of course, he's also a very funny and positive teacher and if you have a chance to take a course from him, I highly recommend you take him and you'll pass the class with flying colors. :-)

I am one of those guys who struggle with math. I was afraid of taking this class. Professor Scanlon is the best option for you if you have problems with this subject. He is funny, respectable, and even though he doesn't consider himself as an awesome math teacher, he definitely is the best teacher ever.

I have always disliked math but Scanlon has made it a lot easier to understand. He is by far the best professor iv'e had in my 2 years at BC. He also is caring and makes the class more tolerable with his wacky jokes.

I took Scanlon for Math 60 and was nervous due to Math was my worst subject. He was awesome and explains on how to do the problem. I wish I couldve took him for Math 70 but he was only available during the day. I got an A in his class and did not need to take the final.

He is incredible! He is retiring soon so hurry. Math has always been my hardest subject but Scanlon makes it really easy & I actually understand it. 4 exams & you can opt out of the final. He is kinda weird but funny I really enjoyed his class. He grades mercifully & lots of extra credit. Cares about his students & its almost impossible to fail.

Professor Scanlon is by far the best Math teacher I have ever taken. He will make sure you can understand the problem by going over every step. He definitely cares for his students grades not like other professors on campus.

Scanlon gives you ever opportunity there is to help you pass with an A. He makes his classes enjoyable. He's approachable if you're shy about asking for help. He can simplify a topic so everyone can easily understand it. He doesn't assign much HW at all. He cares about your grade probably more than you do. He's respectful and respected.

I LOVE Prof. Scanlon! And this is great because I HATE math. Mr. S. is a great teacher, he makes sense of math no matter what you're doing with letters, numbers, and all the other junk that follows with algebra. There is NO WAY I would've passed if it wasn't for this professor. I heard that he is retiring soon, what a HUGE loss for BC!

There aren't enough good things to be said about Mr. S, His class is designed specifically for students who really struggle with the subject, the demand for a place in his class is extremely high, and once in you can call yourself really blessed, you still have to do work but the subject becomes so much more manageable and therefore passable.

Mr. S is someone who wants to help you understand math and all you have to do is take notes and do your homework. I had him for Math 60 and have him now for Math 70. He is the best math teacher for those who struggle with math.

Scanlon doesnt explain his examples & then he says "this is how its done i dont make up the rules" His class is very frustrating. When students ask questions he gives half answers, not clear at ALL.
