For starters yes Dr. Li is hard to understand, but you get used to it. He is extremely knowledgeable about Comp Sci (although his code is ugly lol) course is very hard but if you do the assignments and make an effort to understand the material you'll do alright. Dont be late, fall asleep or skip classes because he'll call you out for it

Surprisingly funny. Gives good lectures. Is aware he isn't necessarily easy to understand and regularly will write thing out. Has high expectations though is more than willing to help outside of class.

Accomplished academic. Expects serious investment in class. Accent can be difficult to understand. Asks many questions of the students in class and waits a long time for responses; if noone speaks up class drags on. Making a serious attempt at answering makes things move more smoothly. Courses are geared toward serious (hardcore) students.

For those who want to LEARN calculus fully, Dr. Li is a godsend. I wouldn't have passed calc II without having had him for the basics first. He is very thorough and although not very approachable and sometimes hard to understand, overall he is excellent.

Dont dare to fall asleep in his class... use your fingers to hold your eyes open. All notes are online, classes are boring but useful. Go to all your labs to get help on assignments. I'm not the smartest person in the world I felt I did brutel on the exam and I ended up with a B+

Can be hard to understand and isn't exactly mr congeniality. Don't fall asleep in class or you will face his wrath. "Yes or No?" is his way of encouraging class participation. With all that said, the less of 2 evils compared to McMaster. Assignments and tests followed what was done in class.

After getting past the threats of being hurt if I sleep in class, I didn't find CK to be that bad of a prof (had a good time making fun of him), but now that I have written 2 exams by him I can say "Class easy...exam HARD!" He's just to passionate about teaching.

He replaced another prof a couple weeks into the course, and he's awful! He's really hard to understand, really cocky, and has no trouble humiliating kids in class. He is constantly saying "do you agree?" and "yes or no" to the point where you just wanna throw something at him. Avoid his classes!
