Comment:
Easy to get a good grade. Easy to learn PChem well. You can do one or both. Quizzes are conceptual and open note. His written notes will give you the equations you need to get points. His tests were just like the study guide, study guide is just like quizzes. Easy to get A if you work the class. Very helpful, ask any conceptual or class questions.

Not an easy class. However, open notes for everything. Quizzes every Tuesday. Drops one low quiz. 3 exams. Extra credit presentations available to replace a low quiz- 10 pts max. Review key concepts for quizzes and you'll do fine. Exams 6 concept questions (like quizzes) and 3 numerical (one comes verbatim from HW'S). Scale: 70 is a B. 85 is an A

A decent professor. There are weekly quizzes, so you do have to at least have some understanding of the material as it's covered. Exams were open note, but still challenging for many students. Notice that this class is effectively a review of Gen. Chem, and while Calculus is mentioned, it's massively simplified.

Quizzes every Tuesday, so you have to come to at least have the classes. Only drops one quiz grade. Two midterms, and a final. Everything is open notes, not open book. Relatively easy class, but still study, and don't be fooled about open notes exams - there is not enough time to find the answers, unless you know the stuff okay before the exam.

He knows his stuff pretty well, but he has a very thick accent and that can be quite a pain when you're trying to learn chemistry. Im taking another class by him this fall (Physical Chem). I'll let you know if hes good for that class.
