Take this class online! I took the in person version, and he just reads his slides. You have a quiz, group discussion, and practice test per chapter. He grades easily on all but the multiple choice practice test. You have a short annotated bibliography. Follow his guidelines and you will easily get an A.

Although this class is an "easy A", it is very valuable. Professor Hawks emphasizes linking current research to each chapter. This gives you an idea of the different ways research is conducted and how APA citations work. Highly recommend him!

He's a great professor but he tends to ramble about things for awhile, but it's relatively okay because they're usually related to what he's talking about. We spent the first class of the week doing lecture and the second class doing group discussions, great dynamic. Quizzes, chapter reading, and journal due every week, but overall really great.

This class was an easy A. As a hint, the online quizzes have "check your work" use this. Most of the grade is based on these. You can get as much or as little as you want out of this class.

He is a very nice and understanding man but as far as his teaching skills..well he has none! He was very unhelpful, and always tried to push your questions off on other students. No clue what he is doing as far as teaching... my professional evaluaion is that he should find a new career!

Horrible teacher. Nice guy but doesn't know what he is talking about. Never answers your questions clearly, always passes them off to other students. Easy class but you don't learn anything. IF you want to learn, do NOT take his class.

Nice guy with good intentions but are you serious? Teaching style needs improvement and more pizazz. Easy class overall but teaching style is not very clarifying. Much better than the alternative in Mr. Levin though!

An easy A, but a pretty boring class for what should be a fascinating subject. Hawks is a nice guy, but not a very good teacher.
