Comment:

I took Eddie Weller's honor's history class and it was the best class I've ever taken. Unfortunately, I had an A up until personal health issues toward the end of the course kept me from attending. Even though I did not pass, the class was the most beneficial I've ever taken. It's a small class combined with English. Amazing setup. Two Professors.

Comment:

Dr. Weller is a good professor. He has very tough grading criteria. The class was not worth the depression I went through. I had sleepless night, depression, and anxiety to maintain my grade. I learned a lot in the class but the workload is not worth the class.

Amazing class! One of the best professors I've ever had. Dr. Weller is definitely tough, but he helps you grow so much as a student. He's always willing to help you if you need it, especially when it comes to your research. Dr. Weller also will go out of his way to make sure you are successful. I recommend taking his class!

Comment:

I took Dr. Weller for honors History 1301 and it was a great class. His lectures are great and I learned a lot. Beware he is a tough grader and he will not baby you, so if you just want an easy A do not take him. This class was interesting and you will get out of it what you put into it.

Dr. Weller was phenomenal. I really enjoyed taking his history class. He is a talker, not a lecturer, which can sometimes be annoying, but he is also very available if you need to ask questions. His grading formula is really straight-forward and if you read the book, go to class, and study at all, you will be sure to get at least a B.

Dr. Weller has a true passion for Texas history. His knowledge and ability to accurately express the historical facts of Texas marks him as one of a small number of history teachers that make history fun and rewarding. His class is an easy A, if you pay attention and don't sleep. He is the professor you will see in grad school. Be warned.

he knows his history very well i took him for mini term and it was hell. we had to highlight the charpters in the book because its part of the grade.we had 3 exams all of them hav 20 multiple choice questions and 2 essay questions.if you read the book and pay attention in class you will do good but if you are slow reader like me i would not rec him

Excellent professor. Yes, he likes to tell stories that do not relate to the material, but they are interesting. He not only gives information, but also asks questions and makes you think. He makes history important to you. His class is everything that a college class should be.

Just finished this class. I hate history but loved it. he tells stories and that helped me. He gives essays but I learned how to answer them. His jokes are so bad they can be funny, but he knows there bad.

Nice guy, boring class. Always tries to involve the class in the lectures. Lots of reading from the book. Tests were 2 essays and 20 mc. Essays were pretty simple so long as you just write down everything he said in lecture.

I love Mr.Weller!! Very sweet, kind man. He is very knowledgeable about history! Boring class....then again every history class is, but he is very smart. His tests are hard, but if you study and commit yourself, you'll do fine. History was my worst subject but I made an A. I loved Mr.Weller and would take him again in a heartbeat!!
