Have Doc for Applied Trumpet lessons. He makes every lesson I have a blast. like some people will tell you, you'll either love him, or hate him... is really fair to his students, and will literally go to the end of the world to help any of the trumpet studio students with anything, or get you the help you need... (if you actually ask him for help).

I have a love/hate relationship with Doc. He has helped me over the years, not just with my trumpet playing. He gives me great opportunities, but when faced with piano troubles, he just doubled the music I had to learn, straining my and my accompanist's patience. To say the least, he has some strange views on life...you either love him or hate him.

Nice guy, pretty good professor. Could still work on fundamentals of playing in a jazz band more. Has NO concept of how a good rhythm section should sound or how to get a good sound out of them. Almost too easy on group. But fun class.

very mean and unhelpful. will make a fool out of you if you ask him a question. if you email him, he will respond in a mean tone, and also send the message to other professors to embarrass you. aweful man!!!!

Doc is awesome. He has a story for everything you do wrong.(a story to fix the problem) He is a fun guy to talk to and joke around with, but will be as hard on you as he needs to be so you will become a better player. Love that guy.
