DO NOT TAKE!! She isn't clear about what she wants on certain assignments. You don't get to see the correct answers to quizzes or what you got wrong if it's multiple answers for each question. I just don't get how you're supposed to actually learn. She is unhelpful when answering emails and her slides are vague so they aren't helpful either.

I wouldn't recommend this professor because she gives a ridiculous amount of assignments per week. Her quizzes have nothing to do with what you read in the book or her slides. Yes, there is extra credit but it's not that much. Her discussion grading is tough and she doesn't provide enough information. She will not accept late work nor give partial.

Quizzes normally have nothing to do with what is in the textbook and in her slides. I find myself so frustrated because she is asking questions on a chapter quiz that isn't even in the powerpoint or chapter. I would not take this professor again.

Prof. Garcia is great. She is friendly and answers emails fairly quickly. The class was easy, if you don't procrastinate. You read a text and then write 3 pages on it each week. There's one midterm relating to all the texts you read previously, one final exam, and one "creative short-story" due the week before exam week.

She gives good grades based on whether she likes you or not and does not give feedback on assignments or essays. Also you will be assigned journals like a middle schooler.

Is extremely sad that UCF has a professor like Dr. Garcia. What I have learned in her class we did in my years at high school. I have paid for a class that has not challeged me at all. Dr. Garcia is a very easy professor, she does not appreciate students that have a voice. I do not recommend this teacher at all.

The worst professor I ever had. She takes your liberty of expression. Her instructions are not clear and basically your opinion does not count as a student. She discourage students. Her class is a dictatorship.

TAKE HER! Best professor I've had at UCF. She is the perfect balance of fun and structure. Her neutral Spanish accent makes it easy to learn and she really cares about her students. Expect to stay the entire class if you take her during the summer. Its just like taking English Comp 1 but in Spanish. MUST attend class for grade. No busy work here.

THIS LADY IS AWESOME! She is the best professor I have had at UCF. The class is very well organized and she is so very helpful. She lets you turn in drafts before 3 of the 4 papers are due. This is an easy A if you just do the work. TAKE HER!

If you are a native Spanish speaker make sure she doesn't notice it otherwise she will be after you. Thank goodness that I am fluently in Portuguese so I could hide my background. If you need an easy A take her I learned what she taught in elementary school back home. Great class to boost GPA

Everything that she taught I learned it when I was in middle school so if you are a Spanish speaker you don't need to study anything just use common sense and you will get an A. Make sure she doesn't know that you are a native speaker because otherwise she is going to be after you looking for minimal punctuation errors or accents

THE GREATEST PROFESSOR AT UCF!!!!! Her classes are the best, she knows her subject, very intelligent and highly educated lady. Be prepared for class. Are you sure about the previous comments? Students mistreat her and she always respects them. I hope she lasts at UCF. SHE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY PROFESSOR!!!!!!!

If you are a native speaker but are not from Spain do not take her. She will take points off if you use a word in an acceptable way that it is different than the way they use it in Spain. She always misses the point and gets very defensive when students know more than her. Never recognizes when she makes a mistake
