Comment:

Mrs. Austin is available to answer questions when you need her but the class is straightforward and the online system grades everything for her. She gives tons of extra credit but all of the quizzes and exams are on quizlet so it's almost impossible to fail her class.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Melanie!! Best professor at app hands down. She makes the class fun and enjoyable. It is a easy A as long as you put in the effort to do the quizzes and assignments every week. Would recommend 100%

Comment:

Professor Melanie is one of the most caring professors at App. She will help you in and out of class. She cares about her students and is always willing to help everyone get a passing grade. I don't think that anyone in my class got anything lower than a B. Does take attendance, but lets you get those points back by giving extra credit assignments.

Comment:

Literally the easiest class that I've ever taken at App. Almost everything is common sense. The professor seems nice as she sends out weekly reminders, however all that you ever have to do each week is an assignment and a quiz, neither of which ever take longer than ten minutes. Definitely take this class.

This prof is great. Every week, you will get a power point and watch her lecture video to go along with it. Then, there is a simple quiz & very simple "activity" (usually a short survey or something). If you watch the lecture video (usually 10-30 min long) you do fine. Interesting stuff. She also emails reminders of what is due. Def recommend!

Absolutely loved Professor Austin!!! She was absolutely amazing. We had 2 pop quizzes in class and she gave us all 100's. We got to earn extra credit by playing games, and she is very involved with her students. She WANTS you to learn and pass her class. I would take her again without a doubt!

Melanie is AWESOME. Not too much homework, in class activities, extra credit (EASY), and online midterms and finals. TAKE MELANIE'S CLASS! She is so sweet and cares about her students, and works hard to make sure class is fun.

Ridiculously nice and helpful, there were a few tests and some activities, but the tests were either online or a "musical chairs" test that everyone passes easily. There are 2 presentations, and it's not a difficult class to get an A in. Just show up and fill in the powerpoints she gives online. Definitely would take her again!

Melanie's class is one of the easiest I've taken in college. There are weekly quizzes, but they come straight from the notes. You have to go to class to get the notes because they are fill in the blank from lecture. Some of the exams re online, and the activities we do in class and for homework are super easy.

My absolute favorite professor at Appalachian State. She is an all around wonderful professor and is very passionate about her students! I can honestly tell you I have changed my schuedule around multiple times to allow me to take more classes with her. Would 10 out of 10 recommend taking any class with her!

Hands down, one of the best professors I have ever had throughout my college career. She is very well versed in the field of health and exercise. She truly cares about her students, and makes class as interesting as possible. Her upbeat personality is also a plus! She embodies everything a teacher should be, and ensures quality education.

This class is definitely an easy A... If you complete all the assignments and take notes, you should have no problem completing the exams. Quizzes are easy and based on material right out of the PowerPoint. She also sends out weekly reminders letting you know when work is due... Great professor!

Melanie is seriously the sweetest and most helpful professor at ASU, hands down. She makes class interesting, easy to understand, you wont mind going to class, and you wont spend a lot of time studying because she is that great of a professor.
