Dr. Garuba is by far the most intelligent proffesor i've ever had. And i've went to 5 different colleges & university. The man is always inspiring his students to look at the big picture. How does the subject fit into the puzzle of Computer Science. Get a deeper knowledge of the subject area as a whole.

This is a cs professor that likes to see students succeed. But you have to put forth the effort. He notices when you miss class and will make a mental note when determining your final grade. The assignments are not always easy but he is there to answer your questions if you come to class. Best professor in explaining complex concepts in simple term

I agree with the other comment about this professor not appearing to know what he is doing. Exam questions have no connection with what is presented in class or is in the book. Class lectures consist of definitions and vague concepts without any practical or useful information. He is never in his office. I didn't learn anything from this class.

Some doubt if he knows what he's talking about. He grades none of the ridiculously hard work that he gives out. you get no feedback whatsoever the entire semester, which scares you crapless until the interview at the end of the semester which gives him the freedom to give you any grade he sees fit.
