Dr. Ray is awesome! He has a lot of experience in the field so his lectures are interesting. His essays were easy 100's. His quizzes were easy too and he reuses all of his questions for the final, so pay attention to them when he goes over the quizzes in class!!

Dr. Ray is by far my favorite professor, he's a sweet kind old man. But be prepared to read your book and study his slides. Because it is PSYC its heavy with information. if you do that you'll be sure to pass his quizzes which are usually 20 questions. in this class you'll have 5 papers, 6 quizzes, and then the final. And the papers are easy A's.

You would have to read to pass. Therefore, if you dont study well from books. Dont take the class. Ray is a nice professor and his lectures do be heavy, but he is cool guy. A lot of the things said are interesting, but sometimes boring as well. Ray curves your grade sometimes too. You also get into many small group projects, but they are easy.

Professor Rays class was a good introduction to psychology and his personality was easy to get along with considering he tend to crack a couple jokes here and there during lectures. His class is quiz and essay heavy and final exam was open notes, However essays are relatively easy. I overall had a really good experience in his class.

Dr. Ray is amazing! His was my favorite class this semester. The overall atmosphere in class is very chill, even for the final I wasnt stressed. No tests in his class (except the final) - just quizzes, which are so easy! He also assigns a few papers, but theyre also an easy 100.

Dr. Ray's class in an easy A. The quizzes require studying (obviously) but don't just read the book. Do the practice questions and read the summary of each chapter. I have gotten an A on every quiz by doing this. Lectures. He is lecture heavy and the quizzes are all about the book and nothing about what he says. Overall, he's a caring teacher.

This man is incredibly caring. You have six quizzes and five papers throughout the course and he drops the lowest quiz. The quizzes are pretty easy as long as you pay attention and do some supplementary textbook reading. The papers should be an easy 100 (he even says that) and he gave me some very kind responses to all of my personal anecdotes.

Never take him again. He's nice but his lectures are so heavy.6tests during semester. Study guide helps nothing for you because you have to study almost everything in the book for his test. Tough grade, heavy tests. The only things positive is about paper, total 5 papers and they're easy as long as you're good writer.

Was really excited for this class since Psych is my major but this class is not good. There are quizzes every other week, you'll start out with quizzes on 1 chapter then move to 4 chapters on a QUIZ. The quizzes are not easy either and there is really not enough information covered in class. Get ready to teach yourself. Lectures are very dull.

I don't see why Dr. Ray doesn't have 10 stars on here. I really enjoyed this class. Sure, he would lecture for the full class length, and sometimes it was boring, but it was clear that he has a real passion for psychology and teaching which makes his lectures so much better than those given by professors who hate their jobs. Listen and Study!

Some days were really interesting, others were so bland. Textbooks really do help and there are quizzes about once every two weeks. Be prepared for all-class lectures. He such a sweet man and you can really tell hes passionate about what he's talking about. He also sometimes makes the subjects a little more relate-able by past stories of his.

He isn't bad but he isn't that great either. I am at mid-point and on quiz 3 and its getting very dull. He doesn't really go over the material as he should. He also gives his quizzes before class ends and he may or may not finish the chapter it's on. Be prepared to write your own notes, and live off the study guide. Also, there is only one test.

He does not teach the class well at all. I would take someone else if I could go back. It is a lot of self learning. His tests use a lot of examples instead of definitions.

Doesn't do a lot of regular teaching, need to read the chapters and do study guides. Group work ends up "teaching" the class. Tests are test bank questions. Papers are for credit not quality. Would have preferred a different style. Mostly teaching yourself I would have taken online. Also did not like the textbook author very well.

Perfect example of a professor who will waste class time. I sat there reading the book instead of listening to him. I asked him questions and he would shrug it off, doesn't reply to e-mails. Constantly confront him about your grades. No extra credit even though there's a slot on iCollege for extra credit. Never again.

Cool dude. He is like the guy from up mixed with that "apperently" kid from that news segment. Anyways first few quizes were a breeze, then they became progressively tricky. Easy nevertheless. Study the material before the test, in class really has more practical application. Overall class was decent and straightforward. Lots of extra credit.

I took one of his classes again because I really enjoyed his class the first time, but he's changed... No in-class learning. Have to teach yourself through reading the book. Doesn't teach at all.
