This woman is awful at best. She gives you extremely difficult essays that she doesnt explain and cant figure out how she wants the citations done for. She obviously knows what shes talking but talks to you like you also have a doctorate in American lit. Overall this class is not worth the stress and she doesnt teach. DONT TAKE HER.

Sharon May is probably the worst possible teacher for American Lit. She gives vague lectures that don't help you understand the literature so good luck w/ that. Her tests are extremely difficult they are all short answer & she expects a lot of detail & she grades depending on how she feels that day. She's overall rude & unhelpful.

Sharon gave us a 5-7 page paper to write with 14 sources included and said if we did 5 pages we would get the minimal grade thats so stupid oh and you can only revise papers thats a C or better more than likely youre getting a F

Worst English professor ever she gives entirely too much homework we had to read roughly 40 pages each time we cane to class and write papers that majority of the class failed. She is very knowledgeable of her material but does not know how to explain she set everyone up for failure

She seemed to take her bad moods out on us sometimes. I didn't like the exams, where we had to write "letters" to her about the class. I didn't know what to write in them, since the class didn't really teach me anything new or help me improve my writing. It's boring, but easy to pass if you do everything and turn assignments in on time.
