She is really nice. She treats the class like a middle or high school class but whatever, she is very genuine and tries to make the material as interesting as possible. She is laid back, kind and wants you to learn something. She is a little quirky, but very nice and a good teacher.

Very helpful, encourage discussion and independent thinking. She makes sure you have access to all material needed for the course. I enjoyed her enthusiasm and dedication. Definately recommend her.

Comment:

Professor Blum is the nicest old lady ever! Her class was extremely easy, and the only hw she gave was a chapter review at the end of each chapter. Her tests are easy and she gave us 4 projects that were simple too. Her class is very laid back-- she likes discussion. Take her if you want an easy science class.

She gives open note tests and they were so random I got early 80's late 70's on them. She is a little out there but you can tell she's a geniune person. She hates it when you copy the powerpoints that she puts up so you literally have to sneak copying notes so she doesn't call you out on it.

Very nice lady. Understands your issues, and allows late work to be turned in. Exams are not easy, but you may use your notes and if you are responsible she "works miracles" I went from a C- to an A-, even though I always got C's on exams. Boring class, easy good grade.

She's an amazing professor. Really tries to help you pass, and takes care of her students. Inevitably, the test are pretty difficult, but she takes more of the homework and projects into account rather than the test scores. Meaning you can fail almost every test and still pull out a B. Highly recommended!!!

She is an extremely nice professor. even if you don't do your work she still treats you like the A students. Honestly she made biology way more interesting than I thought it could ever be. Yeah there's homework about once a week but you can hand it all in near the end of the semester if you want. Tests are a little hard, but you can use your notes.

I was in her evolution class. All the tests are open book and laptop. She assigns homework which needs to be done. Even tho her exams are open book, the questions are hard so you have to pay attention in her class. Overall I think she is an easygoing professor. she allows you to hand in late assignments. A 3-5 pg paper is due at end of semester.

Not horrible, but definitely not easy. Everything besides the tests are easy, but thats not saying much considering the tests=death. She does scale tho considering almost everyone fails. If you put in a lot of time and effort you could probably do great, but the average student will just get around a C for sure

Get HW questions every week from the book but there easy to do. Tests are pretty straight forward and she let us use our notes but theres never that many questions and she tends to ask rather harder questions then what the HWs do. Research paper of your choice due at the end of the semester. CURVES ALOT! A 66 test average is like a B.

Easy but boring. Take her: 3 mostly MC tests with some short answer questions and a final. Exams are open-note so take notes on the textbook, do the homework on time and fill out the handouts. Research paper on a topic of your choice due by the end of the semester. Plenty of dumb people take her classes and flunk the exam, so she curves a lot. 67=B
