Really enjoyed his class- conversations were very relevant to those currently working. Really enjoyed reading and writing assignments because they were self-reflective and will remain helpful as we seek management positions in our careers. Grading was very clear and workload wasn't overwhelming. Definitely take his class if you have the chance.

Professor Starner is the man. While the subject is boring, he makes it more interesting and relevant. Only grades are the midterm and final paper, a group project, and participation. Talk to him after class, he has great things to say and it will guarantee you get a good grade.

I took this as a night bomb, and it was the best night bomb I could have taken. Starner never makes class boring. We talk about interesting things. One big group project counting for 25% of the grade. He is a fair grader and knows what he is talking about.

In tune with the 'real world' and is able to provide useful tips in managing yourself in the workplace. Assignments challenge you to think outside the box and think like a manager. If you don't take his class or any class he teaches you're missing out! Participation matters but discussions are interesting! Great for online students!

Great professor. The assigned materials were relevant and I gained a lot of insight from his class in interacting with others in a corporate setting. Very applicable class and a great professor whom has great connections to CEO and leaders. Would take him again! Workload is manageable and easy.

I had both Profs O'Halloran and Starner. People in the other class said they didn't even negotiate that often. Starner challenges you each week. Do the reading, come prepared. You will do well and learn a lot. I did not worry about my grade at any point (graduating senior), and as it turns out, I had literally nothing to worry about.

Negotiation is a GREAT class to take! I would recommend anyone looking to take this class to take it with Professor Starner….he is the man and very laid back. The time your class is over you probably will have a different perspective on some of your classmates….crazy what some students will do for a good grade! I only wish there was a Negotiation 2

Fantastic professor. Knows his stuff from real life experience- not just a textbook reader. Participate so he knows your name. Papers are unclear but mostly about your personal experience with some outside research.

Wonderful class, really fun and engaging, great conversation. He is a great guy and leads a great class. As long as you're participating and showing him that you're thinking and learning you can get a good grade and have a great time. And there is so much to be learned in this class, all in a good way.

Made the class interesting. Didn't explain assignments too well. For his assignments, he expected a lot of analysis and outside research. He knows his stuff and definitely pushes people out of their comfort zone- in a good way.

Absolutely my favorite teacher at Bentley so far. His leadership class, although manditory, was much more fun than I expected and he really respects your opinions. As long as you participate and engage you're pretty much golden. Only 4.0 I've ever gotten! Immediately signed up for another class of his and looking forward to it.

Amazing professor! His class is really interesting and interactive. He's very funny & his lectures fly by. His work load is challenging but manageable. What I appreciate most about him is that he remembers his students. This was one of the 1st classes I took in grad school & 4 years later he remembered my name, where I worked, etc. Great Professor!

Awesome professor - one of the best I've had at Bentley (more than halfway through my MBA program). He worked at GE for a number of years and in executive search - his stories are terrific. Beyond this, he has a wonderful teaching style, very conversational and open to different ideas. Great variety in his classroom activities too.

Starner might be the best professor at Bentley. The guy is real world and he excels at engaging his students. He provides good pratical application to things he teaches and he won't teach useless items. I highly recommend taking him for any and every course he's teaching.
