Nice guy but intensive summer class. 105-130 activities due weekly w/ 1-2 attempts per activity. 2 easy webcam presentations, no tests, 1 final. Final was a bit harder than HW. There are partner activities but don't think he graded them. He says he assigns partners on Canvas but that was false & I had to find my own partner by emailing random ppl.

He is not tenured and he lets you know it. Took him this fall he cares more about finishing the book then the understanding of the students. Extremely incositant and the syllabus only included assignments until March and the class ended in May. Do not take.

I feel like he really cares about his students ability to speak and learn French effectively. It does feel overwhelming at first since he used French from the beginning of time but persevere and you'll be amazed at the level of French you picked up from this class.

I took his class online. We had to do 3 webcam presentations and 2 in-person exams which were written and oral. There was some group work as well. Be prepared to read the book, do a LOT of online activities, and watch obnoxious video clips. This sounds tough, but Wolpe is immensely helpful, warm, and friendly, so he'll guide you if you're confused

I did not take Spanish in high school so this was a huge learning experience for me. Wolpe is such a great professor, he is very animated with his lectures and really puts things in perspective. He incorporates a lot of humor and his style flows so that it is easy to retain the material. I have learn so much! He is not strict. I'm taking 101B :)

Show up for orientation and final exam in person. The content itself isn't too hard, but he's been very unclear with what's due and by what date. There are weekly video chats we're graded on and he didn't show up tonight. Weekly compositions too. His syllabus is outdated and unorganized. A lot of studying on your own to get the grammar down.

I took 2 years in high school so this class was a breeze. I don't think he knew everybody's names, and for the names he does know he tends to call on them a lot. 2 oral presentations of simple vocab, a few tests with the exact same structure. HW is submitted online. I'll be taking him for 101B.

Easy to get an A on the Summer Online class.As long as you keep up with all the online assignments,interact with your partners constantly, and study for the 2 tests, it'll be a breeze,but the wk is tedious.It will help if you have previous exp.You need a C- on both exams to pass, 2 oral presentations.Be sure to check your blackbd email frequently.

Eh! He speaks French the whole time! Even on Day1 of class, I was very bored in his class, but once in a while he made me laugh, but other than that, easy A/B if u B/S him enough he'll let u turn in late work/tests... Would take him again... not too much hw... asks a lot of question 4 class participation :-/

He's super nice and willing to help. Class lectures are kind of confusing because he speaks in French the whole time, but that aspect is really helpful. Um... he's really laid back but he moves through the material kind of fast, so you'd need to keep up with studying and hw. Overall I really liked the class and plan on continuing with French :)

Took this class online and it was pretty easy. However, there is a lot of work you have to do but he gives you plenty of time to complete the HW. The final was a bit difficult for me but I still managed to get a good grade in the class!

It's been a few years, but I still remember enjoying Prof. Wolpe's classes (101A and 101B) thoroughly! His English speaking voice surprised me! Hahah I remember the first time I heard it (he rarely speaks English, never during class if he can avoid it. Great immersion environment!

hella easy! online, don't bother buying the book unless u don't know spanish. All you need is the online teaching system to really teach u. Idk what ppl are talking about that he's so horrible, he's really easy. Easy A. Promise.

The company to order my book sent me the wrong book and when I asked for an extension to work on the first chapter, he said he'd drop the lowest grade meaning that Ch. He doesn't reply to his e-mails promptly and hasn't posted grades after 3 weeks. I took the online class and he's kind of unaccommodating for people that work during the day.

Since I took this online during the summer, there was a ton of assignments that needed to be submitted every week. But, they were all pretty easy. Professor Wolpe is really understanding and cool about everything. We only had to meet three times- Orientation, Midterm, and the Final. It wasn't the easiest A, but it wasn't impossible to attain either
