Comment:

Annika was the best professor I had this semester! She was understanding about mental health, COVID, and literally everything. I don't think she takes off any points for late stuff. She is so so sweet and I unfortunately only saw her probably twice this semester. The class wasn't really "mixed" in that way. Was expecting to meet in person more.

Comment:

Annika is the sweetest- she truly cares about her student and wants them all to succeed. This class is a lot of reading- so be ready. But don't let that stop you from not taking the class. You have to write a 1-page reflection each week- and she is not a tough grader- as long as you do it you will get an A. This is a relatively easy TAP class

Annika is by far one of the best professors at UVM. She genuinely cares about her students and wants them all to do well. She's very passionate about what she teaches. She is a very easy grader as well. If you have the option to take her class, do it.

Annika is so sweet! She's swedish so her accent is sick. Super easy to ace and she really cares about us succeeding! If none of us did an assignment, she'd just push the deadline back! Cancels class a little bit-but it's not a problem. Super easy class.

Annika is incredible. Truly caring and accommodating. She's a wonderful teacher with unique experiences and had really meaningful readings. There may be a lot of reading but it's interesting stuff. Her movies are enjoyable and thought-provoking and she's just a great teacher who really cares about her students and their lives. Overall best prof.

Anikka is the kindest professor I have had so far at UVM. She engages all students and assigns readings (a lot of them) that are genuinely so interesting to read. She cares a lot about her students as well as the subject. If you can, definitely take a class with her.

Super easy class! All you have to do is read all the articles she assigns from the course packet and write a bunch of reflections based on the readings and films. She would assign like a bunch of books for the semester but I didn't read a single page. I don't know why kids actually read the books when you can easily hit up a summary of it online.

If you have to take this course, take it with Annika. There is a lot of reading, but they're all totally worth it. I bought two of the books and didn't even read them. You have to write a lot of reflections, but they're just your opinion on the films and readings. Super easy. You watch tons of good films. If you put work into it you''ll get an A+.

Annika is by far the sweetest prof. I would take her again and again if I could. She cares so much about her students. She looks at you as an equal to her. She's very passionate about what she teaches which makes the class so great. A lot of reading, but it's totally worth it. I hate reading but I made the best decision to stay with the class.

Annika is extremely approachable, friendly, and funny. The class was structured well, with interesting lessons. A lot of discussion-based, which can get really tedious at times. SO much reading, fair amount of written assignments. Exams are simple and take-home.

Easily my new favorite professor at UVM. Very smart and loves when you participate. Go to class, do the readings if you have time or are interested in them, do all of her work with effort and you are sure to get a good grade and learn a lot of new things!

She's a great teacher! Go to every class, most tests and quizzes are take home but based on handouts and discussions from class. Not always necessary to do the readings, but it really helps, especially if you miss class. She's an awesome teacher with great comments and thoughts about the world. Back up your work - must reprint for final portfolio

Most caring professor I've had! Work is fair and expectations are clearly defined. While I had no prior interest in the course material I found her classes engaging and the content actually quite interesting. Class discussion is a major component of the class and participation is strongly encouraged. Highly recommend her!

Both the class and professor are great!!! I would highly recommend this course for everyone, even if you're not interested! The only problem is that Annika is highly opinionated, and if you go against what she believes in, well watch out!

Comment:

The sweetest, most understanding professor ever. She's cool if you miss a couple of classes and helps you get caught up. Reading is interesting and questions before a quiz makes it a piece of cake. I highly recommend any of her classes

Comment:

She is very passionate about the subject. Crystal clear on readings, assignments, quizzes, and papers (which there aren't may of). Very approachable and encouraging, and really knows her stuff! I would definitely take another class with her, and recommend her as a teacher! Lots of textbooks to buy, which is kind of pricey, but worthwhile to read!

Comment:

Loved her and the class. She was engaging and though provoking. Kept everyone interested even though it was an early morning class. Syllabus laid out all quizzes, tests, and exams. Always told us what was going to be on each before hand and used study guides. Worked with individual student needs very well. Overall was a fun class with a great prof!

Comment:

Don't take a course from her. She is immature, unprepared and selfish. She took criticism personally to the point of hurting student's grade. Unfairly graded and ending up giving a quiz(which counted highly) when there was no indication of quizzes on the syllabus. Needs to be more professional as well.
