Entire course in unclear. Careless pdf's and power points with errors that make things more confusing. Video lectures and resources are from 25 YEARS AGO. Overall seems like she doesn't care about what she puts into what we are supposed to learn. Incredibly frustrating course, do no take her unless you're a good guesser.

Decent class but requires a lot of dedication. Tests are fairly difficult and mainly involved lab assignments. Lectures are online and on video and based on powerpoints. Not my favorite class but I made do.

This class was very labor intensive and Dr. Dixon will make you work. There is not much clarity so this professor is not for the lazy. However, if you are willing to actually work hard you will learn more from this class than any class you have ever taken because of her.

Terrible professor. Loves to answer questions with more questions. If you cannot figure out tough problems on your own - you will be in trouble. Kept talking about critical thinking, but she forgot that sometimes students do need to be helped as well. Stay away from her classes!

Left me first start by saying, I do not look for the easiest way out to pass my classes.The video lectures are horrible. She posts way to much info on the web so you get lost in the sea of useless info. When asking questions per email, she is rude and hostile. I would not take this class unless you have no other option,

This is a GIS class. The class asked for a lot of time that I did not have. If you are taking more than 3 classes I would suggest not taking this class. It is very demanding. I did get a lot out of the class, but do not believe that this should have been a class taken by students that have never used GIS before. Very helpful teacher & TA Good luck

Takes major points off for subjective/qualitative answers on her midterms. Video lectures for the online course are unwatchable. Her feedback is obtuse and will not help you answer the way she wants. I took the course mostly to be exposed to the software (which I was) but learned very little else that I couldn't have through only buying the book.

Took it online and was completely easy. If you're good with computer programs it will be the easiest A. She has a teacher's assistant so any question you have is always answered right away.

People who are giving her a bad rating are doing it because they are weak and lazy. Barnali will work your a** off, but you will learn an incredible amount. Don't take her class if you aren't serious about it. If you're just looking to knock out some grad requirement, she isn't the prof you want. If you want to learn soemthing, she definitely is.
