Comment:
He is such a smart, genuine guy that I feel guilty giving him such negative feedback because he is so passionate about what he does... BUT he is just one of those guys who is too smart for the average person and cannot dumb it down enough for an entry-level class. I am a straight A student, always have been, and I know how to study, yet I got a B-.

Comment:
Professor Eggleston made Economics worth taking. My one criticism: the lack of homework he assigned (seems backwards, I know). The lack of at home practice made studying for tests slightly trickier. However, if you listen well in class and ask questions when you need to, you will do well. Eggleston is well-seasoned in economics and very amiable.

Very very lecture heavy. That works for some people, but I was not thriving. I struggled to stay awake during class every single day. The lectures usually don't have visual aids so you have to pay attention, which is difficult. Only grades are tests, with minimal amounts of extra credit.

He's a baller. Not only is his dry sarcasm hilarious, but he's a genuinely smart guy who teaches about an increasingly uncommon area of economics, the HISTORY of economics. He himself will admit to his off-the-cuff mentality, so prepare for a little improvisation when it comes to class organization.

I feel like he's a nice person but his lectures can get so boring. If you manage to pay attention despite the boredom you will do good on exams because he usually brings up what he says in class. Attendance is not mandatory and he doesn't seem to care even if you skipped the whole semester.

Comment:
The class is pretty interesting, but Eggleston is not. You will fall asleep multiple times during the semester, but don't count on skipping class a bunch because simply reading the book won't help you for the test. Tests are the only grades in the class, there is 3 of them. Multiple choice section is by far the most difficult.

Although his is difficult to listen to somedays, he really is a very good Econ professor. He will help you in any way until you understand the material A very nice guy as well. You don't have to do much in the class (all lecture) as there is only 2 homework assignments, 1-2 quizzes, and 3 tests. Definitely easier than Nesiba. (so I've heard)

His lectures can be hard to follow at some times, but he always has his office door open and gives a fair warning about what will be on the tests. The outlines he sends by e-mail are extremely helpful also. Good sense of humor.

This class is the only one I've had where I nearly fell asleep during it. This dude is boring. But in the end I have to say I ended up learning quite a bit and got an A partly due to the fact that his test grading scale is ridiculously lenient.
