Be prepared to write all semester. This class is basically busy work with one major assignment. Everything is on a discussion board, and you will have to reply to other people (of course). She also has long, albeit good descriptive emails and assignment instructions. Everything is clear cut, just a ton of busy work.

Writes a lot of long repetitive emails. If you need the credit go for it. She's okay at instructing, a lot of work but listens and helps out . I asked her for her grading criteria and it's impossible to get 100% even if you receive full points. About 35% of her work is graded out of 94.5 so you'll lose points. That dropped me from a B+ to a B.

After only 3 days of the class being active, I had about ten 700+ word emails from her. She writes a lot and emails thats usually repetitive and annoying. If you want to just get the credit go for it, but I wouldn't choose her if I had the option. She's okay at instructing, a lot of work and below average guidance. She listens and helps out though.

If I were an English major then I'd agree on the workload. If you're any other major the amount of reading and writing will get tedious and dull. Projects consist of reading journals and regurgitating in a pleasing manner. Assignment structure is confusing, 1 a,b.c etc. Grade will inevitably be due to quantity of assignments rather than quality.

Nice lady when talking to her, but does not give out As she says that specfically in her syllabus. I've never had a class put me through so much work and the end result be so unrewarding. The emails and instructions she sends are extremely long. This was a university required class and it was unnecessarily tedious. Avoid at all costs, if possible.

Unrealistic workload. Each assignment description (even small ones) are 3 paragraphs minimum, so its hard to follow/be sure you're doing things correct. Only one exam which you get 5 attempts on. Strong emphasis and weight on group project, which you must devote a lot of time to, along with individual project deliverables and discussion boards

I am very upset with her schedule. I dont know why she thinks making her class harder will make her good prof. the workload is so bad that at the end of semester you will get so exhausted and frustrated. I gave this class all my time but Im not satisfied with what I learned. she is just unbelievably hard. Will never recommend her to anyone please!!

this lady is so nice and helpful but she actually doesn't know how to help. Full of lengthy hws and believe me 3 hws due at the same time. She thinks we have no life. Class is unnecessarily hard. Will NEVER recommend her. I never struggled in any of my class but this one is really bad. please take someone else if you really want a normal professor.

I enrolled for online ENG302 summer 18. Started it June 25, dropped it. The first day's worth of assignments was ridiculous, and no realistic way to run a class, considering people have a life, family, and jobs. huge papers, projects, unorganized; writes way too much to get a small point across. NO THANKS. Instead i'm taking Eric Eisner. :)

The woman can TALK. Most of her lectures consisted of her rambling on, and it only left me confused and disinterested in the discussions. Read several different books/poems over entire semester, and had to post on discussion board before each class. Only about 3 papers total w/ 900 word min., so light workload. She's definitely an acquired taste.

She is a very sweet lady. However, the class is extremely dry and tedious. She is not well organized but the class is easy until towards the end. It is a extreme climb from doing little work in the beginning to two papers and a project in the end. Don't take if you are actually interested in the subject. Just take this to easily pass.

This class wasnt bad but the work is tedious. The grade that I had on blackboard did not reflect what I ended up getting for the class. Most grades turned in reasonable amount of time but she took almost 2 weeks to grade final paper. Wouldnt recommend her

This class is by far the worst english class i have ever taken. Professor means well but the instruction alone will take 30 minutes to understand. Her blackboard is impossible to navigate. She is a harsh grader and you acn not get a response in a timely manner. She has an "online" class that she must tend to as she puts it.

There are a lot of work, make you feel like you are only taking 9 credits instead of taking 15 credits. You will never know how you are doing in the class util the end. The summary and discussion papers that you work through out the whole semester only worth 10%, because the final paper worth 55% !

She's not a overly tough grader, but the workload for this class is high. I don't recommend you take this professor or the online class for that matter, but she's an acceptable professor to take unless you have other hard classes you're dealing with.

English has never been a hard course for me, I've always done well, however, i can honestly say that i have never taken a harder English class in my entire life. the amount of homework assignments she gives is ridiculous, she acts like her class is the only class students are taking. one paper and its worth 55% of your grade. 10/10 NOT recommend.

The worst class at GMU . To belive that you have to pay for this class is ridiculous. There is no rubric for the assignments. You could do 90% of the group project and the other members still get all their credit. She grades all of your reports at the end. She didn't try to teach us anything. When asked about something she recommend looking on OWL.

A degree is required to navigate her blackboard which is extremely convoluted and voluminous. Workload is INTENSE. It is vital to plan your schedule with this in mind. Alot of groupwork is involved. Usually rambles on and adds to the confusion. She is a fair grader however. She is nice but reminds me of a Hogwarts professor in a good way!

Taking hybrid 302N right now. Lots of small assignments, but beginning to see how it will all come together at the end.
