This teacher is ridiculous. I am a straight A student and her class is so discouraging. She is rude and very argumentative. Hates when students receive help from a different source. She talks very fast and gets off subject which makes everythintotally confusing. Embarrasses students in front of the entire class. Totally lost interest in Humanities!

Verrry academic, but genuinely interested and excited about the subject. Likes to make you actually THINK. She's very accomodating if you need help, but she does expect you to step up to the plate- and she doesn't tolerate b.s. I don't agree with all of her theories, but quite enjoyed the itellectual sparring. It wasn't easy, but it was fun!

Tonight was only he SECOND CLASS. I want to drop! The teacher spent the entire night intimidating and bullying the students and I felt so stupid after studying like crazy for 2 weeks when she put me out on front street and I didn't understand her question. Her most used statement is: "You didn't read the material did you?" She is VERY RUDE!

This review is way over due. Took her history of God class last year. Hardly read the text and still recieved a 94%.but that was only due to me being super smart and joining a study group. This woman is crazy, biast and obviously atheist. She's also wierdly obsessed with brushing her hair. She conformed most of the weak minded people in my class.

You will learn a lot in this class.That is if you do all the homework and reading.I would spend about 10 hrs a week on her homework assignments.Ms.Wooten knows what shes talking about due to her yrs of experience,& expects you to be at her same level of understanding despite the fact that you are in Hum 300!if you fail a test,you fail the class.

She's wonderful! I have to say that all the people that speak ill of her are idiots, true idiots. You obviously are here just for FAFSA $. Wonderful teacher, kind and engages your brain! Professor Wootton is quite educated in humanities; a little too educated as she often goes off topic and rambles off all of her knowledge. Her class is not hard, but all it is is a lot of reading which she does go over in the following class. Attendance is key because you will be marked down points significantly. Fail 1 test, fail the course!

She's a hard teacher. She expects you to memorize every word of every line in everything you read because her tests are identifying lit quotes. The classes are helpfull when it comes to answering the short questions on the quiz but you will have to write a lot. Type all of your work taking this class because theres a lot of reading and writing.

Mrs Wootton's Humanities classes are real college level courses. You will read 50-100 pages per week, and if you don't do the reading you will not do well. But she gives you all the answers in class. Big Tip: HIGHLIGHT EVERYTHING READ IN CLASS.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Take any other teacher, she is ridiculous. I have never had to write more, not even for an English class. We had a very casual class, watching videos almost every class. Then her final and midterm were ridiculously hard.

Had to read out of the text book first day of class before she had ordered it in the book store. This establishes her horrible teaching style. We were made to read from a book that had nothing to do with modern hummanities and then take our final upon it. She is not direct at all and needs to learn how to teach a three hour class without films.

Professor Wootton is a nice person, but that is the only good thing about this class. There were about 10 people left at the end (Everyone else dropped). She scores harshly and as a result, this class is very difficult to pass. Not what a humanities class should be. You'd better do your reading and know everything 100% if you want a C.

Horrible teacher. Her lectures do not relate to the topics at all and neither do the reading materials. The class is very easy but she is such a horrible teacher that she makes it very difficult to pay attention. She doesnt listen to you or any of the students. She makes you popcorn read and assigns participation points like your in elementary school. Do not take this class. I have no idea how she is still allowed to teach.

She took an interesting subject and made it boring/awful. It's telling that 75% of the class dropped. Overall I feel that I learned more by watching history channel/pbs. Don't know why people said that if you miss one class you fail. If you miss 4 classes you fail, so shut up. She does have a stick up her arse, though.

When I began the class we had over 40 people in the class. By the time I got dropped, for only missing one assignment, there were 11 people left standing. Do not try to voice your "opinion", because it is always going to be wrong. Sadly. She will help you, but act like you asked a stupid question. The reading and homework is overwhelming also.

Her point system is rediculous. Don't get sick because if you miss one class, you fail. The makeup work is over-whelming. Don't bother doing your best on it either because you can only get a C regardless of quality. Read her mind because she is not clear on directions. Don't ask questions about her confusing lectures because she'll respond rudely.
