She is a very kind and sweet woman but she could not answer my questions. I found her dialogue profound and offensive to students. No proper study guides, reviews or knowledge of what to be prepared for on the test. If you dont read and understand the book or other resources unfortunately you may fail. Lab is not hands on, waste of time but easy A

She is a very boring teacher, she is a monotoned talker so listening to her lecture is like watching paint dry. What she teaches in class is not on the test. Her TA for the labs you will NOT LEARN ANYTHING! be ready to have your questions answered by google( she dont know anything, nor do she walk you through how to do the labs. ) WORST TEACHER!

She has an attitude. When she teaches she whispers so I advise you to sit close and she cares about the little details that no other teacher cares about. Be specific with your questions or shell give you a broad answer

I loved this class. I would recommend it especially if you like biology. She teaches straight from the book. So if you miss a class, just look in the book. It's there.

As long as you pay attention & follow class rules you'll be fine. She does have an attitude but typically if you participate she's easier to get along with. Class is easy if you keep up with the homework and read the powerpoints before class. She is knowledgable and can answer questions easily. I would take her class again.

Dr. Hollowell clearly had favorites in the classroom. She was very boring and lacked enthusiasm. Her powerpoints and study outlines do not match what is actually on the test. The best thing to do is pair up with someone and try to study the information. I left the class with a very sour taste in my mouth.

I attended Ms. Hollowell's General Biology lab. She is a great professor. I would highly recommend taking lecture/ lab with her.

Dr. Hollowell might come off as a woman with a bad attitude at first, but after talking to her she is such a nice person! She definitely knows what she is talking about and as long as you listen to her you will be fine and make it out with an A.

First, the class will be ALOT easier if you take it the same semester as General Chemistry. She is somewhat strict, but she is consistent. As long as you keep up wiht reading, you should leave the class w/ an A or a B.

Well educated professor, students that pay attention should do well. Tends to play favorites (ie students from school of math and science,upperclassmen, etc). Has a slight attitude but is worse with female students. Loves to use blackboard.
