Gail was a super terrific instructor to have. Her previous students weren't exaggerating when they say she really wants to help you succeed and stay on the right path with your projects. She let me turn in a minor assignment a week late for full credit. 3 animation projects, all with interesting themes. You're also not forced to using one program.

I didn't have much experience with animation. Gail helped me every step of the way. I went to her office hours every week and she would literally go through all the programs and teach me and help me with assignments. She takes her time with u and she is all about improvement. Not only have I improved so much, but I have gained a new friend!

A queen! so accessible, I have never had a professor who genuinely wanted to help every student succeed and treated us with respect so much. She understood the burdens we were facing with the pandemic and was sensitive. I got COVID during the first week and she was completely understanding and made sure I didn't fall behind. 10/10

I thought this class had to do with learning about the history of animation but I was wrong. I didn't like how she would change some things for some of the projects but it worked out. I feel like she should make the textbook optional because we never touched that textbook throughout the semester. Gail does like to hear out about your ideas.

Professor White is an excellent professor. She will go way out of her way to help you understand the material. She came and met me several times an hour or more before class to make sure I was understanding the material/programs we were using. She could improve in class time management and goes off topics for too long at times, but she great!

She's very nice, caring and truly wants the best for her students; its easy to get an A in the class as long as you follow the directions and requirements. I had little knowledge on the programs used and she made it easy to understand/learn. BUT, she tends to digress a lot with her lectures. If you can withstand minor digressions then consider her.

Prof Gail helped me a lot in this class, she is welling to help anyone in the class to do their work and answer their questions. She is really nice and caring, but she talks a lot and outside the course material. she gives really good and detailed feedback. Do all the work to get an A. There were 3 projects in the class, I did them all and got an A

Great Teacher! Would take her again. She listens and gives all sorts of feedback and advise. She can jabber a lot and the class can go on forever without some things getting done but she is considerate and challenges you to grow.

Gail White is an amazing instructor and actually explained processes in 2D animation. I learned what to use and why it's important to animate a certain way. Her three projects allow for a lot of freedom and the criteria is do-able. Her class really secured a strong foundation on how to animate, and she personally helped anyone with a problem.

Gail White is one of my favorite teachers at Mason. I had 0 interest in 2D animation, and I ended up really enjoying the class. The class was really long some days, but I would definitely take her again.

I really want to go into animation as most new media majors do. If you want to go into animation DON'T go through new media at George Mason. Instead I suggest doing a GAME design major with a drawing minor. White is nice, but if you were hoping for character animation do not take this class. She has to many students and can only help one a class.

She was an excellent professor. Extremely helpful and very very nice. She is always willing to help and makes sure that everyone has been helped. Critiques take a little long, but its not the worst. She always opened the class earlier to help the class. She was awesome.

Shes wonderfully passionate and knowledgeable. Each student has varying experience levels, but she is extremely attentive to everyone and their learning needs. There is some self-teaching to be expected -theres too much to teach it all! But she will direct you where you need to be and provide the basis to get you started. Really great person!

Gail wasn't very good at teaching a group, however she excels in individual instruction. She is laid back regarding most deadlines, so completing assignments is typically no problem. My main complaint would be that she could spend quite a lot of time with individual students, and if you had a problem you would have to wait for her to finish.

Does not teach. Wastes the almost 3 hr class on talking to one student or showing up 20-30 minutes late. When she does teach, you end up falling behind or not learning anything useful. She expects you to learn outside of class. Does not follow syllabus. Project deadlines are too close together. Poor syllabus planning.

Gail is very inspirational. The positives of previous raters is dead on. I have known her for the past 15 years and she still makes me stop and listen when she talks. I take what she says to heart. No other instructor has EVER moved me as she did. BTW: Does have have any kids?

Gail is AMAZING, I've never seen anyone is atually come in the school almost every weekend and stay until midnight just to help students with their projects in her OWN time. Professor like her doesnt exist anymore, consider yourself VERY LUCKY if you could ever had a chance to be her student, you'd learn more than you could ever imagine.
