I had him for 160 and 161 over the summer. Overall fantastic professor. Genuinely interested in seeing his students succeed. Has a lot of interesting life experiences to share and somehow made class fun. Work was demanding but he is a fair grader. Probably the best professor I have ever taken.

Comment:

I had professor Williams for both Bio 160 and Bio 161. He is a really nice guy and definitely wants his students to succeed. The class is pretty difficult, no matter who teaches it. The lab journal and paper due at the end of the semester definitely helps boost your grade even though its a lot of work. Take these classes, you'll learn a lot.

Professor Williams is an awesome professor! The class is difficult, but he keeps you interested in the subject. I learned so much and it was my favorite class. The work load is intense, but if you work hard, you'll do fine. I got an A- and an A in his classes.

I have not taken biology or any science since high school. This class was definitely hard. Sometimes I was up all night trying to finish the lab jounal, but I learned so much in this class. It is definitely worth it. I got an A-. If you work hard, you'll do fine. He's a great guy.

His lecture notes didnt really match the exams. The average grade per test was usually around a 60 and thats including the 10 point curve. Most people who did well in the class had a bio background so i believe if you have no bio background...expect to be one of the 60's in the class. No matter how hard u study. hes def a rough professor.

I am not understanding these comments at all. Yea He is a really funny guy, but the class is a ridiculious amount of work. The TEST ARE SO HARD!! The lab journal is a huge chunk of your grade BUT IS SO MUCH WORK. Every entry takes 3-5 hours and there are 13! There is a 8-10 page paper for this class..im telling u, be smart and Take SOMEONE ELSE

just finished both courses and had a great experience. previous statement that lect notes don't match exam not true, he just wants students to think. i'm premed and learned alot! only professor i've had that works as hard as his students

If you are a Biology major you will enjoy this class. I am going for nursing and had to retake this class, because I learned absolutley nothing pertaining to my career. There is alot of work in his classes, but not that hard. His tests do not match his leacture notes, not to mention he words his questions to confuse you on purpose. NOT recommended.

had him for 160 and 161. he explains things so that you will understand them. he is also pretty funny and wants you to do well. his tests on the other hand are extremely hard. lab journal helps to boost grade even though its close to 200 pages.

I am a biology major and he is the first professor that actually made a biology class interesting. He makes a hard subject easy and teaches it in a way you will understand. If you study, his tests are not hard. He's a great professor.

Most interesting class and one of the best professor's I've ever had. Unique and great teaching style -your lucky to be able to take this tough class here with him. Actually looked foward to going to class.Can talk to and ask any questions; and usually always knows the answer to anything! Very passionate about what he does and makes class enjoyable

this man seriously changed my life. Before taking this course I questioned my ability to succeed because I had already failed this course previously. Prof. Williams made a boring class into something fun and related the material to everyday life and things we were actually interested in.
