Meyer is a great teacher in my opinion. He taught straight from the book, not from the lectures. He is tough when it comes to the little things, like attendance, paying attention, taking notes, but otherwise, his class was a blast. It was a lot of work, but worth all the studying when I received A's. Oh, and his lectures are hilarious.

He sometimes makes fun of student's questions, but uses Powerpoint and wants people to follow up with the textbook. I personally like to listen to him and like reading the textbook because it makes sense to me. Its kind of like a lecture hall setting but only about 40 kids. My advice is to sit in the front and not fall asleep

Really funny professor! Makes class very interesting. You can succeed in his class simply by studying the PowerPoints and paying attention during lectures. Tests are a bit difficult. Overall, great professor. I'd love to take another class with him.

Dr. Meyer was about as good as my PE teacher when i was in 8th grade. He was not helpful, was confusing, and could put the most enthusiastic kids asleep. He says that if you pay attention in class and take good notes you can succeed. However, he goes too fast during his class to take good notes. Rather pull my teeth out than take that class again.

I had him for intro and sensation/perception. Easily the most interesting and easy classes. He will go off on tangents every lecture, but you do get the material. Tests are super easy, just read the textbook and you don't even need to pay attention in lectures. He's hilarious!

Very amusing teacher with interesting stories and personality. Class is fairly simple and is based on the powerpoints more than the textbook. Many times he rushes through the ppts so you have to reference the book for information (can be confusing b/c the txtbk has so much information). Short easy response papers and multiple choice tests.

Dr. Meyer always keeps things entertaining in class. He's pretty quirky, but his humor keeps people focused and involved in what he's teaching. The tests are a little tough but fair and cover both the book and his lectures, so pay attention to both. He hates when people skip class (unless sick), so be careful about which classes you don't go to.

Comment:
Prof Meyer doesn't care if his students do not do well. Class time often boring, and he often gets off topic and ends up hurrying through the ppt, so taking notes is close to impossible. He does tell you what the test essay will be on, but besides that, it's hard knowing what will be on the tests.

I have had Dr. Meyer for 1300 and for 2330. He is one of the easier 1300 professors but the tests can still be slightly challenging, you have to keep up with the reading and he likes to put things on the tests he only covered in lecture. He is a character and can get a little off topic, but overall I liked his classes.

A lot of people didn't like Dr. Meyers but I really do. He may not be the BEST professor around but sure is better than Hertel any day. He is definitely good for Intro. Psychology classes.

Dr. Meyer is a funny professor. He never fails to make me laugh. However, if you have never learned psych before, this class might be confusing because Meyer tends to flit around a bit. BUT tests are really good--they really test on if you've read the book, so if you haven't, they're hard. But Meyer is very fair about questions.

SENSATION/PERCEPTION- most interesting class I have ever taken at Trinity. Useful to have some biology or neuro background before taking the class. He was very interesting, and HILARIOUS. Grading is sometimes tough, but he curves tests. Just take good notes.

He's a funny guy so going to class (although he does not take attendence) is actually pretty enjoyable. However the knowledge that the tests cover is so over-whelming (3 or 4 big chapters full of names, vocab, diagrams) and you're pretty much expected to be able to recite the text book on your test.

He's incredibly funny at times. Assumes you read the book and puts a good amount of information from it on exams. Psychology isn't really my thing, but it was cool to take it with Meyer.

A very off the wall professor. It's hard to write notes and know what will be on the test. Depends a lot on the book but never really covers it. You never really know what will be covered in class. It was a frustrating class at times because you didn't know where it was going.

He is frequently off tangent during his lecture that taking notes in his class seems pointless. So you learn to rely on your textbook more.

I took this class pass/fail and almost failed... Meyer just tells the information but doesnt really explain it well, exams have way to much information and it is tough to cover 200 pages the night before... Meyer does make lectures entertaining by telling funny jokes and stories

Stats is a pretty hard class. Dr. Meyer is really funny, but can be somewhat unclear on assignments and concepts. Do not take this class unless you are a serious psych mayor, or you will regret it.
