I think he's hilarious. You can tell that he truly loves what he's doing by the way he lectures. Beware: the readings can sometimes be unrealistic! However, I would take any of courses at the drop of a hat.

Absolutely brilliant. So helpful, informative, and funny. Gives great feedback on essays and provides excellent career and life advice. His courses are easy to pass, but still worth putting in full effort.

The only reason i opened any of the books for this class was because i didnt pay attention in class very well and needed to prepare for tests on my own. If you think you can pay attention, don't waste your money. He is a very gracios grader--we only have three tests (all subjective) and class participation points. I ended with a 93% without trying

FANTASTIC PROFESSOR. there were only 5 grades the whole semester though so make sure you pay attention in lecture. his lectures are very interesting and informative. if you like greek/roman mythology TAKE THIS COURSE.

Dr. Francis is one of those professors that just make your day. His love of the subject and obvious enthusiasm are infecting and I found myself taking as many of his courses as I could over my college career. The course is only graded through attendance and papers, and Dr. Francis is a fair and generous grader.

Dr. Francis is one of the nicest professors I've ever had. He is super sweet and very understanding if something comes up. He makes class interesting and he is very into what he lectures about. You can tell it's a genuine passion of his. He is also very funny with the way he teaches and stories he tells. I've taken 2 classes with him and he's great

absolutely hated it, he rambles and his lectures consist of talking for an hour about absolutely nothing, lots of reading involved never gives any notes, had a 12 page paper and he gave us no direction at all for it

I cannot express how much I love Dr. Francis. He knows his stuff and genuinely loves his job. This is the second class I have taken with him and I always look forward to going. There's a LOT of reading but as long as you pay attention in class you can spark note it. Highly recommend him! He's so animated he often reminds me of an old school cartoon

Francis is great! His lectures are dramatic and theatrical. He takes the moderately awkward subject of gender and sexuality and makes it amusing and interesting. He does not shove his beliefs and opinions down his students throats and values his students.

He loves what he is teaching and is very excited for class. Attendance was not required, but if you go to class and listen and take notes, this class is very easy. He can sometimes ramble and get lost on side thoughts, but if your notes reflect major points and characters you will do fine. I would not suggest relying on the book for tests.

HORRIBLE! He rambles on in class and is so hard to follow! if you aren't able to sit down and pay attention the whole time for an hour and a half do not take him! the tests were long consisting of fill in the blank and essays.

He really is a great prof. You can tell he really enjoys what he's teaching. The class isn't hard, it's like listening to fairy tales for an hour =] Take thorough notes and aces the tests, because that's the majority of the grade

SOOO GREAT! He is far from boring and is extremely funny and makes class interesting. He is very understanding and willing to help. There is a lot of reading to do, but it seems to me that a lot of what he says in class is what was in the book. I am taking him again and couldn't be happier. Very friendly, helpful, clear and understanding! :)
