I did the little work she gave in class and got an A. I also had a perfect attendance. If you never miss a class you dont have to take the final. If you have to take this course i would highly suggest taking her.

Great teacher. She is very intelligent and has great experience to share. Let's face it for those who don't know it yet, your in graduate school, you are required to figure certain things out on your own and not expect your hand held. She is actually very helpful if you are not obnoxious and expect everything. Ask and you shall receive.

Comment:

Tends to go against what she teaches by embarrasing students in front of the class. Dont ever go unprepared! Cares too much about absenses and doesn't give exact notes so if you don't have a good memory dont do it! There are 2 papers and a group project but she really wants you to be involved with current events. She scares people but not too bad.

The first day of class she was very strict and then she got really nice until the work came. Just because she teaches graduate classes she thinks that this one is the same. She's very sweet but strict on absences.

At first, I thought she was great . . and then after a month, I changed my mind. Yes, she knows education, and yes, she's a pretty easy prof if you do the work.But she is very small-minded and assumes that everyone is from long island and planning to stay and teach there, which meant we mostly focused on local issues, not global, very frusterating

She is by far the worst professor I have had at my four years at Hofstra. For anyone interested in taking a class of hers, I suggest you rethink it. She is the HARDEST most unfair teacher!!!!

Best teacher I have had since freshmen year...she wants us to try and be active...do not take this class if you are lazy...she encourages creativity and she honors it...the material was fairly easy...she is a sweet heart...attendance is important but talk to her if you have a problem b/c she is understanding if you take th e bus to school evry morning like me ( from Queens) she is very intelligent and knows what she is teaching

The material for the course is pretty easy. But the class can sometimes be boring and she can be a brat at times.
