Comment:

She loves her subject so much she expaects us to as well. However, her tests are nothing like how she teaches. Everyone in that class would study for 6 hours (no exageration) and we would still almost fail. She treats us like we are in first grade or something. She tries to explain things using little kid examples that just confuse you. STAY AWAY!

(continued from below) I took this class in Summer I. I had no knowledge of Biology, but still passed with an A. It was not an easy A, I studied DAILY because we had a quiz, a lecture exam and a lab practical EVERY week in the summer. Book is NOT needed, everything is straight from lecture notes. Will need a LAB book tho. Plunkett will be missed.

Mrs. Plunkett is a GREAT teacher who is retiring at the end of summer 2009. The first lecture exam and first lab practical were the hardest, so hang in there. PRINT OUT the lecture notes and review sheets found on Blackboard as they are exactly what you need to know BUT still take some notes... ANYTHING that she draws or writes on the board.

she is an absolutely wonderful teacher. i love her! she's super old, but still full of energy and life- makes corny jokes but you can't help but laugh at them. and she uses weird analogies but they will ALWAYS help you remember the stuff on the test. She's just hard of hearing so speak up.

she is very nice, but the lecture test are hard and confusing. the reviews don't help because is an outline of the whole chapters. the reviews are not help full.lab test are easy if you are a visual learner. at the end of the yr dont expect to get a "C" even if you did everything at the end she will give u a "D" not much of a curve.

Very sweet woman. Her tests are hard, but if you study whats on the study guide A LOT you should make a decent grade. She goes over a lot of information each class so I wouldn't recommend to skip any days! Take this class!

Great teacher, very friendly. Absolutely loves Biology. Her tests are kind of hard, but she has SI Sessions which are extremely helpful. She starts right on the dot and is up tight about little things like no sandals in the lab, but she's just doing her job. She was definitely my favorite teacher. Did not use text book once. A+ for her.

This professor was a very nice lady. Her tests were hard though. She's also very anal on attendance. She's hard of hearing so some of the younger more immature students tend to goof off in the class and she doesn't even know it. I would not recommend this class.

Sweetest little grandmother type lady. That being said, the material for this class is hard and there's ALOT OF IT. Absolutely go to the SI sessions they offer (a smart student re-teaches the material to you)ESP BEFORE TESTS! Without SI, I prob would have failed. With it, I (barely) managed an A.

Kind of a nice lady, pretty open minded. Tests are HARD! You really have to know the material. She helps you out if you put forth lots of effort. DO NOT MISS LECTURE OR LAB!!! Offers some extra credit. Not everything is real clear, but she is more than available to go over material! Hard work = C! Don't bother buying the EXPENSIVE textbook!

I took her for bio 1. the material is not that difficult. there is no extra credit. i was dropped due to missing more than the allowed classes even though i had a reasonable excuse. (death of a family member and later on a mild case of pneumonia which i had doctor's notes for)as long as you dont miss any classes its fine but i wont take her again.

I had her this past semester for Bio 1 and she was really a sweet lady. She really loves science and she really wanted us to pass. She always posted our notes on black board and used the book like once. It is ALOT of studying. Alot of material..but dont miss class and just pay attension and it was easy. I really surprized on my grade in there.
