I took her over summer at Sac City and it was an extremely easy class. 4 essays in 6 weeks along with a final and midterm. I got A's on every essay and I did them the night before they were due. Just pay attention to class discussions and use them in your essay. I only used the book for quotes.

Great professor! So sweet. She asks really good questions, which works well when people want to talk. The reading is totally doable. Most professors assign so much that you feel like you have to pick and choose which reading to do but all the reading can be done. Also, the selection is great as well. She is a fair grader and will work to help you.

Comment:

Jordan is the best teacher I've had so far at Davis! She is super intelligent, helpful, and interesting. Her class feels like an upper division class at a prestigious liberal arts college. She is a challenging essay grader, but her tests are pretty easy and she helps you learn so much about literature. I literally want to take her course again.

Her lectures feel like you are in a masters program, be prepared to spout BS if you want her to like you. But if you actually care about learning her words are gold. Very in-depth and critical analysis, pay attention and just give her back the ideas in your essays. Super easy grader, acts tough at first but is quite a nice person.

Dr. Jordan was spectacular! You can really tell she's passionate about literature. At first I was a bit intimidated by her, but she's actually very approachable and funny. She gives very good feedback on papers and assignments.

I LOVED Jessica Jordan! she is a brilliant professor who really knows her stuff. She is very helpful and if you pay attention in class and do the readings you can very easily get an A on every paper, quiz, and exam. Take my word for it, if you want to learn & do well in a class take her!!

Professor Jordan is amazing! She's a really sweet and approachable person. She'll really help you with anything you need if you talk to her. I've gotten the best feedback on my essays and tests from her. She's definitely one of my favourite professors at Davis :)

This class wasn't hard the prompts that we had to write about were a lot different than what I was use to. Over all a good teacher I feel like my writing improved. I took the 8 week class so we were pushed for time. I recomend this teacher though not a tough grader

Dr. Jordan is extremely helpful in office hours and a very fair grader. During lecture (which are mandatory) she tends to read from her notes, which is a bit dull, but she is very knowledgeable on cinema and I found the class to be completely fair and interesting. As a warning, the films she chooses can be pretty graphic and disturbing at times.

She is a really nice person and an amazing teacher. Goto lectures, participate, talk to her. She will help you whenever you need help. Dr. Jordan made me appreciate literature on a whole new level; our discussions helped me deeply analyze the readings. Although she grades leniently, your writing will still improve. Overall, Dr. Jordan is extremely knowledgable and will grant you insight into literature you never though possible. I would take another class with her in a heartbeat.

Somewhat lenient, but I did learn a lot of syntax from her. The final was insane, so when she tells you to bring your textbook for the final, do it or you're screwed. Theres 4 essays for the class, the last 2 are worth 20% of your grade. Oh yeah, also watched 3 films in class [obviously pertaining to class material]. She was fun.

she is the sweetest professor you could ask for. although it is a 2 hour class, make sure to go to class and take notes. she basically tells you what will be on the midterm & final. go to office hours, she will tell you what to write on your paper so you will get an A. I got an A+ in the class. would recommend her!! TAKE HER!!

She is a great teacher, and knows a lot about what she teaches (ie: includes interesting facts about certain authors, etc). Her classes are fun because she shows videos every so often. Class consists of quizzes, journal entries, essays, midterm and final. I would say she is a fairly easy grader. Take her if you can!
