Tests are nothing like the homework and the class is test heavy. Tons of homework and the homework is super long and does not prepare you for the test. Not a great teacher.

The worst math professor! Goes over material extremely fast and mainly your studying on your own by doing homework. (That will take you 2-4 hrs for each)Tests are really hard and sometimes not on the material he would say it would be on. No reviews Grades really tough. Takes off points if you don't show exactly every step. And never answers emails.

Insane amount of work for no reason (75-200) questions every other night! Hes also insanely rude and not accessible outside of class. Youd be better off driving the extra 20 min to RCGC than deal with him

Fantastic professor. If you aren't prepared to learn math, do not take his course. You must practice and read the book. He teaches you at a university level, which prepares those who transfer to a 4-yr school. If you want to learn, take him.

Clearly knows his stuff, but is unfortunately not a good teacher. He gets extremely annoyed when you dont understand whats going on in class (rolls his eyes and takes a deep breath). He says to email him with questions but barely replies, and when he does, he doesnt answer the question thoroughly. I wouldnt reccomend this class to anyone.

His lectures are great and thorough. He works hard to get everyone to understand what he's trying to teach. He's always available for extra help. It's math, you have to do the H. W. If you want to do well! His only short coming is that he is slow to return tests. Too slow!

He assigns you incredibly too many assignments at once. Part of the assignments he assigns don't even show up on blackboard because he mislabeled them. Then when we emailed him saying we can't find it. He takes 2 weeks to respond. Fixes and reassigns it. Then the next assignment missing again. He gives real bad attitude when I emailed him about an error on the website we take tests on and responds in all caps that he cannot help me and sorry. (In netiqette that we all are required to write about and learn how to type to people online, he certainly doesn't know how to talk to people being all caps insinuates yelling. And his just has a piss poor attitude towards you and doesn't try to help in any way. Just collect a check and leave. (Or in my case, online class, don't even have to show up anywhere). Find another job your passionate about Dugan.

He really knows what he's talking about and he's willing to help you with any question you have. If you do badly in one of his classes, it's probably because you didn't study or never asked him questions.

I wouldn't recommend this class to everyone. unfortunately calculus with Dugan is not for every one but, he is a good person and a grate teacher. With that being said, he is a really tough grader and his classes usually start with 20 people and end with 6 or 3 students.

STAY AWAY if you can. Knows his stuff, but can't teach it. Entire Class but three students dropped. Transferred schools just to get away from him, since he is the only one who teaches Higher maths. And Donhue is a clone, so skip him as well. Transferred and now I have A's in both classes. Dugan's a nice guy, but BAD teacher...

He is an amazing Professor. I would definitely say the best Math Professor in CCC. He is one of the best for them who really wants to learn mathematics from its root. I am amazed by his outstanding skills to motivate the students through his in depth lectures.

very difficult to follow, knows Math but not how to teach. talks down to students and says you will never get this! horrible teaching - never answers emails, never received syllabus, closes out homework then says he will reopen - takes days to do so then closes back within 12 hrs. I had him for Intermediate Alg and was not satisfied at all. He moved way too fast and did not provide time to help students. Never gave us a syllabus or email address, so we didn't know what was going on. 3 times he never showed up for class and did not tell us ahead. Seemed to not care about students needs...I can go on...

Very knowledgable and friendly. Great sense of humor makes class fun. Very generous with time after class and Ben outside of his office hours. If you have any interest in a four-year degree, especially in math or science, Professor Dugan will prepare you.
