The class was fairly easy. It was online & as long as you keep up you're good to go. I often emailed him with questions & his answers were never really clear. I got As om all the assignment and a C on the midterm and final and somehow ended up with a C in the entire class. I don't know how he has everything weighted but apart from that he's alright

I took this class online and it was pretty simple. Gallo is very clear and gives good intructions. Consists of one worksheet a week, one concert review, and an essay for the final. Take him!

He is a great person and really cares about your well being. He is not very clear on what he wants for work, and get distracted easily. If you show up to class, do the hw(so easy) and do the summaries...you're gaurenteed an A. He basically looks over your effort at the end of the Semester and picks a grade that he seems appropriate.

His moto is just show up to class and do your worksheets and you will get an A in the class. He loves teaching history of rock and roll and makes the class really interesting. Basically watched music videos and a video every dayz.

Personality wise he gets a 5. But professor wise he gets a 2. He never really tells you what to study. He'll say study these section but then on the test it'll be a completely different chapter. He gets really confused on what he taught and what he did teach. You'll usually watch videos on different artists and musicians.

Nice guy. Talked/lectured a lot. He would get really close to the people in the front, so if you're shy or just don't feel comfortable with people getting too close to you don't sit in the way front. Hw was pretty easy. 3 listening tests. You had to study for those. Will drop you if you dont come to class/do hw. Some didn't know he dropped them.

Easiest online class ever, besides mus 116 by Decoro, which is also highly recommended. No tests for 2012 spring semester (idk why, but I aint complaning), only weekly hw, discussion board, 2 timelines, 1 concert review. They're all easy. He does reply to my emails quickly and does answer my questions clearly, so go figure. A must for anyone. Got A

Really easy work, but terrible teacher. The class and work is easy but the teacher is terrible at communication. He never directly answers your questions over emails, but instead avoids it and says something else. His policy of no attachments for HW reeks of stupidity and laziness. Opening up an attachment takes like 3 seconds?

He is a great teacher. He is amazing. Just make sure you do your movie reviews and your concert and turn in your homework online. NO ATTACHEMENTS. Either On Cengage or Through your Email. But hes really nice and he cares about his students. We watch alot of movies in that class. If your late, get him coffee. He likes it Black and Strong.

Mr Gallo is the man! Great teacher, great person, lots of experience in the music industry. His class is fun and interesting. Great summer class - walk in in the morning and just chill and listen to music for the 1st 1/2 hour. Do the work, get an A!

Joe is not only a talented musician, but he has a lot of life experience. Some stuff he says you can take with a grain of salt. He's big on attendance and doing the work. It's pretty much just busywork, but you'll definitely gain a greater appreciation for rock music in his class - guaranteed. I'd totally recommend him.
