Her lectures were very clear and easy to follow, and the assignments do not take long to complete. I definitely learned a lot from this class. Personally, I found her exams to be very difficult, but I highly suggest detailed flash cards. Overall, it was an alright class, and Morris is a good professor.

Professor Morris might be the best professor I've ever had at UWEC. She makes class interesting, and truly cares for her students. Tip: Don't read the book, just study the lectures notes. You can't miss class or else you won't do well but this is overall a wonderful class. Mad respect for Professor Morris.

Karen has lots of interesting topics that are discussed. The tests are just memorizing list and then reciting them. Not a lot of homework. There is one paper at the end of the semester and a presentation about a song. Super easy course in my opinion. I actually enjoy going to this class.

She tries to make the class more interesting by having activities to do but they often don't really relate to the class itself. She is not respectful to her students. Her tests are a little harder, you need to memorize every list she gives because that is half of every test.

Karen is the best CJ professor I've taken. The material can get somewhat boring but she makes it interesting. As long as you memorize your notes, you will do fine on the tests. 4 tests (including a non cumulative final) and one paper, but you get to choose your topic so it isn't that bad. She's very motherly and cares about her students. Take her!

I didn't learn a thing through the semester. I did smaller projects through the semester and got points off because the powerpoint discussion wasn't visually appealing enough. She also will ignore students if they don't look "presentable" for an 8AM class.

Comment:
Do not take CJ351 with Karen if you can avoid it. She is an extremely tough grader, and takes off points for things she did not originally specify. Also, this class is called "Strategic Event Planning" and I did not learn anything about event planning. Sure, we helped with aspects of planning a large event, but there was no material in the class.

Professor Morris lectures quite a bit but she does a great job at keeping them interesting and informative. If you take notes during lectures you will do very well on her tests. Your grade is very dependent on your tests and final paper which could hurt you but overall she is a great professor, I would strongly recommend her.

I love Karen! She is an awesome professor. Her class is so fun and engaging, and it made it easy to get up for an 8am. She only has 3 exams, a paper, and a presentation. Her exams are not hard at all as long as you memorize your notes. Make sure you memorize the lists super well! Overall, she is a great professor, and I would take take her again!

Karen is both hilarious yet serious about her job. I found this class relatively interesting and assignments were fairly straightforward. She can be a hard grader and sometimes it feels like she wants you to read her mind. If you leave a little thing out you'll get docked for it. This can be fixed simply by going into her office - she's so helpful!

Awesome professor! I took this course online, and she was still very personable and helpful. Lectures were crystal clear and easy to pay attention to. Assignments included surveys that were fun and engaging. Easy class that is heavily participation-based. Easy tests, great feedback. Would recommend both this professor and this course.

Karen is pretty nice, but can come off as a bit rude at times. Tries to make class fun by adding jokes. Tests are super easy as long as you study (they are just memorization questions). 3 tests, 1 paper and 1 project. She can be really picky on the project though. Gave me a B on it for just little things. Overall, pretty good and would take again.

Karen is a professor who makes students care about the content. She always finds ways to connect it to her classes. Her tests are hard, so make sure you study, and she is a picky grader. She can come off as rude sometimes but overall she is funny and means well. Very fun class, there are activities and no homework.

Absolutely loved this class and Karen is a phenomenal professor. Lectures are interesting and you learn a lot about topics you can apply to your personal life. Only three tests the whole semester, no final, one easy paper and one project. Doesn't use the textbook and as long as you memorize your notes, you'll ace the tests.

I am very interested in communications and I was actually excited to learn the material in this class. All of the terms we learned about communication and relationships can be applied to our own lives. Very interesting and fun to listen to stories from student's lives, applying to the class. One of the friendliest professors I have ever had.

Karen is an amazing professor! I would highly recommend her to anyone trying to take introduction to interpersonal communication. Only a few tests the whole year. Always makes me laugh during lecture. Brought in treats for the class last week. Just make sure to memorize lists in your notes for the tests! Was actually sad if I missed a lecture.
