I would not recommend Landino. She is extremely condescending and makes fun of people for asking questions in and out of class. She also has clear favorites and talks about students outside of class in a negative light. She also told us that 15% of each test is material she won't teach to make it "challenging". 86% of the class is tests.

Prof. Landino is a pretty solid professor overall. The class consists mainly of copying down notes as she writes them on the board, but she teaches the material well. You will be prepared for exams as long as you pay attention in class and do the homework and review problems. Shouldn't be too difficult if you took AP Chem in high school.

Dr. Landino is an amazing professor, super fun and funny, but CHEM314 is still a pre-med weeder course and takes a lot of memorization.

A lot of people are split on this prof. Goes over stuff fast and she means well, but this prof. makes you feel intimidated to ask questions unless you know the content well. (No stupid questions, or else...) Lecture is just an information drill, constant and nonstop, up to exams. *LOTS OF SELF PRACTICE/LEARNING IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT A GOOD GRADE...*

I would not take another class with Landino. I enjoyed the topics a lot but HATE the way she teaches. It's a bit of a personal issue (our styles just didn't click), but her notes are all over the place and her tests are nothing like the homework or practice problems. Overall, the tests were super unfair. Also repeats a lot of AP Chem topics.

She's really quirky and it makes class entertaining. The class is a little hard, but she gives lots of hints in class as to what's on tests. Her grading is fair.

Landino is very fun and her lectures are super interesting, especially if you're a pre-health student. Her lectures are well-prepared and clear, but she doesn't post thorough notes so attending class is a must! The content is pretty easy, and most of it is related to human health. Tests are all open book. 2 homework assignments and 2 short papers

Landino is one of my favorite professors thus far! She does a great job of integrating medicine and current scientific research into her lectures, and keeps her lectures interesting by making lots of jokes. Very accessible outside of office hours. Lectures are a little disorganized, but not so bad that you can't do well on the exams.

Landino is very condescending. She treats you like you are a middle school kid. She will judge you if you ask some basic questions and not helpful at all. She is rude and doesn't respect you as a student who is eager to learn and intellectually mature. But her class is easy and not worth going because she tells really bad jokes every 3 minutes.

Landino is bae. She makes gen chem II relatively simple, her tests are pretty straightforward, and she's super sassy. Not an easy A, but also hard to do super poorly if you do the work. We still chat whenever I see her bc we're both so sassy. Love her

Landino is one of the best professors at W&M. She posts her notes online, but go to class because she knows who's there and who isn't. Tests are tough and a little long, but she tells you what to study. Work hard, review HW, do the practice problems, and you'll do well. She jokes, but she really wants you to learn. Listen and follow her advice.

There is a lot of information covered, but Landino presents it in an organized way that makes is easy to learn. The book is really helpful, but has some mistakes that Landino lets you know are there. Not too difficult if you take the time to commit all the content to memory.

I loved Landino! There was never a dull moment in class and she really took the time to teach the material and made it almost impossible to get a bad grade. Essentially the class is teaching the harder concepts of AP Chem which yes we all did well on but they are important concepts that I am sure you could not reapply if you didn't take the course!

I took Freshman Honors Chem with Landino and hated every second of it. She basically re-taught AP Chemistry even though we all got into the class because we got a 4 on the AP exam or better. Constantly talked about her personal life, her jokes were absolutely awful (cheesy in a bad way). I skipped almost every day and still got a B. Don't take it.

Comment:
Professor Landino is entertaining to watch, but spends a good 30% of class talking about her personal life. Her assignments are difficult not because they challenge students to think in new ways, but because they are always take-home and always require a heavy amount of outside resources. She is also incredibly rude to those not working in her lab.
