I took this class online. She responded to her emails rather quickly. She was an easy grader on papers. Gives out extra credit opportunities. There was homework every week but it wasn't difficult.

Youll get over her accent after the first week. Its not a big deal. Now that were on zoom, she likes to have students participate so she will call your name but its not a big deal. Only 3 test and 1 paper. TONS of extra credit available. She grades and answers emails quickly. She knows what shes talking about and its available to help.

Overall shes a very sweet lady. Her teaching skills for virtual are kind of all over the place. Her D2L isnt very organized and sometimes its like pulling teeth to figure out when things are due. She does a lot of discussions but when it comes to the test, nothing we talked about is on there so thats the only down side.

I've taken Meifang's classes 3 times now, and each time I've been more than satisfied with her teaching. She does a good job with making really abstract concepts easy to understand. I'd highly recommend her to all future students.

OK heres the deal... The class is super easy BUT the professor has things unorganized on D2L. There are things saying something is due this day but another folder says its due this day. The professor makes it confusing because the due dates, syllabus, and course calendar do not correlate. If you have another option, I would go with that.

Prof. Zhang is one of my favorite professors, although I know a lot of student's dont feel the same way. She often talks in a way that is intentionally meant to confuse you to get you thinking, and you'll likely often guess your answers even when you are very confident. I had a ton of fun in this class and I would take it again.

If you are put in this class, get out. Her tests are very hard and long and she is awful at explaining material. Her English is terrible and slideshows of the notes are difficult to read.

Avoid this class at all costs. The class is difficult for a couple of frustrating reasons. 1- Her English is horrible and it makes it very hard to follow along in a lecture. 2- Her slide shows make it hard to understand what she is teaching. 3- She talks about China more than anything and tries to relate it to sociology. 4- Her tests are very hard.

Overall a pretty nice teacher. Passionate about what she teaches. Organization is a bit scattered and gives a lot of quizzes, but she is very caring and works with you if you have any questions.

We BARELY used the textbook because the information needed on the test was uploaded on D2L. Her lectures are very uninteresting and her accent is thick so it's hard to understand her most of the time. However, she does try her best in spite of the language barrier, I recommend that if you feel uncomfortable on the first day, leave immediately.

I loved her! She has an accent, but it's not difficult to understand her. I don't understand how an "overachiever" (or really anyone) could have difficulty in this class. I have yet to study for a single test and have made A's on all of them. Very straightforward concepts, and she will give you credit if you show that you're actually trying.

She will tell you first day of class if you can't understand her accent drop class. She has a very dry sense of humor which made the class go by quickly.
