This was an online class. The textbook was free online. We had online quizzes due each week, discussions due every once in a while, and three exams. She does powerpoint lectures over the reading material, make sure you watch these! They have loads of information on them. Would take her again

She makes her lectures really interesting. She can be disorganized and kinda all over the place but its not so horrible. You will have to read the textbooks and the other books given. The exams are hard. Its over the lectures and textbooks, so make sure you do read the textbooks and attend class. Class participation is helpful for your grade.

Professor Haberland is an amazing teacher, although her class is very challenging. There are several reading quizzes and three required books. Tests cover content from the textbook, books, and notes. She's very passionate and knowledgeable about history, which makes the lectures quite entertaining. I would recommend her for anyone good at history!

Nothing in the lectures matter. Picks random facts out of the textbook to put on tests. LOTS of reading, so if that's not your thing don't take her. A really nice lady but she makes it really hard for you to get a good grade.

Professor Haberland is an ok teacher. She provides ppts that are posted online but they dont go into much detail. For the test, you have to read chapters in a txtbook , chapters for a novel and listen to her lectures. Bc all of it is on the test. The test are extremely hard and doesn't match up always with what she says in class. Do not take her.

Great teacher, hilarious and entertaining to hear. Lectures for every class but if you dont do the reading as well you wont pass. attendance isnt mandatory but if you miss a day where she takes it, it will impact your grade heavily. lots of reading in addition to the textbook and 4 question online quizzes on the reading every week. good class.

She is very passionate about her lectures and they were interesting. However, she only has 2 tests and then the final thats worth 35%. She also has 20% that is worth participation, discussion, and quizzes. It was difficult because there was so much on tests that came from the textbook. You also have to read nonfiction books for each test.

If you love yourself, don't take her. She'll lecture the entire class and none of what she said will be on the test. She tells you read like 6 textbook chapters per test and makes hella specific test Qs on them. And her grading scale is horrible. Quizzes over novels every week and the quizzes are only like 15 of the whole grade which is nothing

By far my FAVORITE professor I've ever had at Georgia Southern. Her lectures are so entertaining and funny that she actually makes me want to go to class. I have never liked history or been good at it and Professor Haberland has made me love it. I wish I could have her every semester.

Probably my favorite professor on this campus. She is hilarious and going to her class was the best part of my week. As long as you read summaries of the novels and the bold words in the textbook, you will be fine!! First time I've been so successful in a history class. She teaches like it's actively happening, really tells a story.

If you do not like to read, do not take this class. There are weekly quizzes over books that you read and only 3 tests. The tests are nearly impossible to make an A on, but she does make the lectures enjoyable. If you skip class or don't take notes, you probably won't do very well on the tests.

Took her for the US in the 1960s and the lectures were awesome! She is so funny and picks great documentaries to watch. Lots and lots of reading so be prepared for that. We never had any quizzes on the readings but they are crucial for tests and the paper. Required paper is pretty lengthy. I'd recommend her if you don't mind reading.

She is a hilarious lady! She always knew how to keep students attention during lecture, which I loved! We had 3 tests and weekly quizzes based off of 3 books we read over the semester! Quizzes were super easy but tests were pretty hard. Mostly True or False questions but not too challenging! She adds extra points on test for hard questions!ST

A TON of reading, but I found her lectures very interesting. The tests are not difficult if you do the readings, and the quizzes aren't either. However, the essays are nearly impossible to make an A on, they are graded harshly. If you read and listen to the lectures, that's half the battle!

Professor Haberland is an amazing woman but don't expect to come out of her class with an easy A. You need to study and pay attention to what she is saying. Also, if you aren't a reader, don't take her. She makes you read a lot.

Dr. Haberland's very easy to get along with and incredibly relaxed. For a discussion based class, she is great at keeping the topic going and gives great insight. Her projects and tests were incredibly easy. I would take again in a heart beat.

Don't take this online class! Its way too much reading for a short summer term. Have to read 3 long, boring books. She thinks her class is the only class students are taking. Tests are SUPER hard and the questions are confusing. Have to write essays and she grades them harshy. Will tell you the smallest things are wrong and take like 10 points off

Required a load of reading-four books for this one class! 3 of the 4 were novels that were soo boring & the quizzes on them were ridiculous--but she did give you a "free" question in each quiz.. She was a good professor though despite the reading, my poor grade in this class was purely my fault.
