I was a student of Mr. Butler's almost 10 years ago. His lectures were very intriguing, knowledgeable, and fair. If you don't understand something or want to play devil's advocate he is willing to listen and respond either way. To this day he has left an impact on my life. For the people that wrote bad reviews... your probably a dumbass!

AWESOME teacher!!! He really made the material extremely interesting. Expect to spend several hours studying your notes. You will be thankful once you get the test. I really enjoyed his class. I highly recommend taking him if you get the opportunity.

Dr. Butler is an amazing teacher. For those who don't like his tests, you either hate to study or just despise history. With that said, his tests can be difficult at times, but it is a college course, you know. Bottomline,He knows history, and he knows how to teach it. As long as you're not a complete slacker, take one of his classes.

I had African American History with Dr. Butler. I really enjoyed his class and his teaching style. He is a very clear and organized professor. He is able to translate often times boring and dull history into interesting lessons.

Very arrogant. Grades unfairly. Fails students who he knows try hard and have an understanding of the subject but may lack a fact here or there. Demands that one know each and EVERY fact simply because he knows it. He should be fired for his inappropriate conduct in the classroom.
