She has a great sense of humor that makes the lectures much more fun and really tries to incorporate examples the class will understand. She's awesome, wish I could take more classes with her.

Comment:

Grade was based on 3 exams and extra credit. Exams are multiple choice and extra credits are short papers based on things discussed in lectures. The lectures are pretty interesting and easy to follow. Professor Hardesty is good at incorporating outside things into the lectures. You need the textbook.

very up beat and enthusiastic about sociology during Her lectures. Everything on the test she says in her lectures so just pay attention. Don't buy the text book it's a waste of money, you don't actually need it. Kind of inappropriate at times but funny. Enjoyed the class

Attendance is not mandatory, not even encouraged really. She's a solid professor, but I did not enjoy this class. 3 grades all semester, all tests. Her curves makes no sense. Only upside to this class is that she does give a lot of extra credit.

She is quite an interesting individual. She does tend to make questionably appropriate statements every once in awhile, but they usually occur when she is trying to make some type of point. Overall, she is a very nice woman who will go out of her way to help those who show effort in her class.

Hardesty is absolutely outstanding. She is very passionate about Sociology and does everything in her power to make sure her students understand the information presented in the course. Her enthusiasm gets the class involved in great discussion. Take every class of hers, she's great!

Great professor, very interesting class discussions. Gives extra credit with every exam however your grade is based off only 3 exams which are multiple choice but were VERY hard (for me at least) she doenst care if you show up to class or not but just read the textbook and show up most of the time and participate in class and you'll be fine

She lectures loudly, but clearly. Making the material easy to understand. She gives extra credit. She is very enthusiastic about what she is teaching. As long as you go to class and read the chapters she assigns your'll do fine. She makes the subject interesting..what more can you ask for.

for a teacher of sociology she makes rude hasty generalizations about society and students which are rude and uneducated, and sweaping. she singles students out for their obvious differences rather then group students for their individual achievements. she's awful and rude. she is easy though, so if you shut up and do the work she's simple.
