I took the the COMM 3703 course online and it was amazing. Professor Allen is amazing and gives good feedback. The course consist of a few quiz, assignments, and discussions. The final was a paper with a power point video. This class will definitely teach you something and it doesn't have the stress of ProctorU test.

Comment:

She's one of those professors that gives you a lot of weekly work and then no tests. The group project is a huge part of your grade so pray your group is good. If you don't keep up with the quizzes, discussions, and assignments you will fail. This class sucks because you have to be aware of something due on BlackBoard essentially every day.

DON'T take this professor for any of your classes. After 4 years I can truly say she is the worst teacher I have ever had. There are no tests but she has numerous assignments, quizzes, discussions, and group projects to make up for it. Instructions for assignments are not clear, and you will end up having to "figure it out" on your own. THE WORST.

Overall this class was okay. I got an A but you definitely have to work for it. I enjoyed the big group project she does only because I feel like I learned a lot of useful information for the future. She is not very clear on what she expects from you about 99% of the time but if you work with her you'll be okay.

Dr. Allen is witty, caring, and knows what she's talking about when it comes to Organizational Communication. This course taught me a lot about looking for a future career and how to go about acting in an organizational setting. Dr. Allen loves what she does, and it shows through her teaching style.

Dr. Allen is a great professor! There's NO TESTS, but lots of projects and homework assignments, but they help you learn and it's worth it to not have tests. She's also a big help on those projects. You do have to put in the work, so if you're looking for the easy A, you can leave. I highly recommend her if you want to earn your A!

Dr. Allen is a caring and concerned educator. I took her class in the mid 1990's and I still remember 90% of what I learned in her class. Patrick Shaw very highly recommends you!

She is SOOOO BORING. Group project that came with writing a paper that was difficult. She could have easily made most of her classes last 30 minutes, but would make us watch videos to fill the time up. Class was not mandatory, but surprisee.... you got graded for it. If you can avoid this class, try...

The tests can be very confusing even if you are confident with the material. The final paper was quite challenging, it consisted of 8-10 pages all with at least 6 sources cited in A.P.A. format. All in all a pretty challenging class especially for a summer session.

Dr. Allen is a cool lady. She is a person with ideas, and really likes people who are creative when conveying a message or a chapter of the text. She is very approachable, but sometimes confusing if you have a question. She grades fairly but be sure you keep track of your grade on your own for accuracy. And she has a dry sense of humor.

If you aren't a retard with numbers, it is really easy. I know a lot of COMM people are, hell, thats why we are in Communication. She can be kinda confusing at times, but have you ever tried to explain math to people that just don't get it. She is a really nice lady though. Loved the class...its helps to get a good homework group together.

A lot of work, but she is cool. I think people that are actually in college to learn and to do research like this class. If you want an easy A, don't take it. Well, its required so you have to. The best advice I have is pick a good topic, something that you actually want to learn about.
