Comment:

I enjoyed this class for a few reasons. The biggest thing is that the homework was always the same, and there were no due dates. I received a ton of extra credit from printing random stories form NASA's website. Very boring class, and most of what he talked about was not on the test. the E/C and easy homework saved me because the tests killed me.

So... This teacher is honestly really confusing. He talks about very off subject things, but knows what he's talking about. If you need help and go to him you'll probably leave more confused than you were. I'm taking this class for a gen-ed, so it's not too bad. It's really easy to pass. Great guy and knows his stuff. & obsessed with powerpoint.

This guy is unbelievable boring and impossible to listen. He is the worst teacher I've had at UVU so far.

Not helpful at all. Tests are horribly written and have nothing to do with what he says in class. Avoid this class if you actually want to understand astronomy

He was average. The homework was easy and he was always willing to work with you. He seems to care about his students and the quality of his work. He cracks jokes from time to time, which is kind of funny. His test, however, are pretty hard. But they're open book. If you do your reading and attend class you should do okay on the tests as well.

Nal know's a lot, but it doesn't match the book. His definitions on his tests are his own definitions and not those of the books. It makes your test impossible even when it is open note/book. He gives extra credit but sometimes wont give you credit for your work. I ended up talking to him and the head department more than once to get my grade.

He is rather intelligent but boring. He shows powerpoints all day every day. He goes off on tangents that are nigh impossible to follow and don't pertain to the class at all. He is super easy at grading the homework but not very helpful otherwise. I dont recommend his class. Its not worth the money.

Nal is truly a genius. He goes off on tangents, but makes class interesting. Let one girl take the first test the same day as the final. Is willing to work with you. 10 review questions per chapter (easy), three tests, non comprehensive. Lots of easy extra credit. Great class, especially if you are going into the physical sciences.

Nal is quite literally a genius. Take this class if you want a first-rate Astronomy base. His lectures can go off on tangents and his answers to questions are cryptic, but he is a good teacher overall. Don't listen to the negative ratings, he's probably the smartest man I've ever met. Open book/note tests and assignments w/o a due date. Great class

Prof. Morris is extremely intelligent. His lectures are interesting, but difficult to follow. There are tangents galore. The syllabus doesn't make it clear about what to expect or turn in. I'd say half the class or more failed the first midterm. I managed an A, but it was by no means an easy A. I wouldn't recommend skipping class or sleeping.

I can't remember anything that I learned in his class, but I somehow got a good grade. Really easy, but he's scattered. The syllabus isn't very accurate in terms of assignments. There's two tests both open book and note, one midterm paper thats extremely easy, and a project. Easy Easy Easy!

This is a the type of professor you would encounter at a top rated ivy league. He is a genius ! The negative ratings he has gotten are not his fault. His vernacular is cryptic at times and his lectures are laden with allegory, inspiration, and insight into our emotional relationship to the cosmos. He is UVU's own Joseph Campbell! Don't be afraid!

Comment:

Morris is a boring teacher who goes off on tangents rather than teach the text. There are 3 tests, no quizzes, and a ton of homework. Almost nothing he teaches pertains to the text. Tests are open book, but extremely hard. No due dates for homework, which makes it really easy to fall behind if you're not careful. Take it from Thomas Lee instead.

I have no clue to this day what his class taught. None of it made sense, but he is a very nice teacher who cares about students. Lets us turn in assignments whenever. the tests were pretty hard and didn't make sense, but it was open book and notes so that was nice. You don't have to go to class very often either which is nice

He is super boring. But his class is super easy. There is no homework. He just lectures. He lets you turn in assignments all the way to the last day. He has 3 test, they answers are kind of tricky, but its open book. You should take him to knock out your science general.

Nal is sometimes funny..sometimes grumpy..and always boring. I only payed attention on review days and did all the homework then ended up with a C. Good enough for me.
