He is a nice guy but he makes a lot of mistakes during lectures and doesn't talk loud enough for the class to hear what he is saying. Tests are reasonable.

Norman is a great guy. Very smart and willing to answer questions. Class is a breeze if you read ahead and take notes. Homework is simple. Tests reflect the homework well. Only downside is somewhat sloppy writing. Highly recommended!

Good guy! Is definitely fair. If you go to his office hour he will take the time to teach you the material. Very pleased with his class.

He has no sense of where kids are coming into the class. he teaches as if everyone gets it, he never provides sufficient examples or explains what is to be expected. I have always been good at math and yet i am wishing for a C. Read the book! it'll be your best friend in his class.

If it's a big lecture make sure you sit up front, he writes small and sloppy. He seems unapproahable, but I haven't approached him much to test this. He doesn't encourage ANY discussion.

Awful prof. Makes a difficult subject impossible to learn and gets surly when asked questions. My only hope for passing the course lies in his impending death occuring before finals week.

what an absolute miserable prof. how this cat is not yet retired is beyond me. unclear, unprepared. notation unconsistent with traditional mathematics. midterms okay, but finals were brutal.
