I absolutely loved Professor Menton and his class! He is a really caring man and enjoys interacting with his students. Hes smart, understanding, kind, and funny. If I had the chance, I would definitely take another class with him, but hes retiring pretty soon. He will he missed at Roger Williams!

Menton means well, his core class was just very boring and typically he just stood in front of the room and lectured us. You have to read the books or you'll do horrible on the quizzes. There is one major paper you have to write for him and he does give a final.

He's generally fine in class, but expects reading to be done every class. Loves to cold call on people that don't show up/don't read. The main issue is hes very unclear, and a really tough grader. His directions always have so many typos, and don't make any sense. Menton will let most people pass, but it's tough to get an A.

Very boring lectures, make sure you read. He calls on people randomly to answer questions and will call you out if you tell him you did't read. Nice person but your grade is made up of five papers. This directions are very unclear with a lot of typos no rubric. I am an A student in writing and get B-'s on all of his paper even when following rules

Professor Menton is a smart guy, and he really knows his stuff, but he has quite a few drawbacks. He has no rhyme or reason in his grading, he takes off huge amounts of points for small components. In the end, the students literally write the final for him. His lectures are beyond boring and rants about one topic for 90% of the class.

Human Behavior was great with him. Not a lot of work at all, but you basically take away what you want to from the lectures. Just read 3 books and talk about them in class. He is really funny and super nice! Do not be afraid to take him, he is really a great guy! Helps if you participate in class, he enjoys & respects that!

Super nice guy and takes pride in what he does. That being said, this class was not my favorite. It was extremely lecture heavy and every class was the same. He read through notes and talked at us for an hour and a half, occasionally picking people out to answer questions (be on your toes!). Could see him being a great CJ professor, but not core!

There shouldn't be one bad comment about Professor Menton. I had him for Human Behavior last semester and he's a really great guy. He's funny and you kinda get a "dad-ish" feel with him. If you act respectfully, do the homework, and participate in class you'll get the grade you deserve. He wants to help his students. You're lucky if you get him.

Professor Menton does have a dry sense of humor that I did enjoy. However, his lectures drag on and on and why did I purchase the textbook? Barely opened it. This "Ethics" class is more like a "Varietal Writing" course. 5 assignments, only some had to do with ethics. Not really getting much out of this one...

Menton was erratic with his grading and assignments. Good luck trying to judge heads from tails with him. I had to submit my final with no feedback from any other assignments because he didn't grade them. Can't find rhyme or reason to his methods. Oh and his writing is full of typos and incorrect words.

Professor Menton, says that he works for the students. He does just the opposite. He does not answer his emails, his grading has no rhyme or reason! He is the worst instructor I have every had. Stay away from his classes!!!

Please don't take any of the negative comments seriously regarding Professor Menton. I found his lectures to be very interesting, not to mention he does have a good sense of humor. He has always answered all of my questions and concers immediately. Lastly, he grades very fairly. If you do your job as a student, you will do well. He's the best!

He rambles and is not helpful beyond a certain point. Doesn't help you when you have have specific questions, he goes around them. He also is not a good grader. He always gives you the same grade, even if the paper is better than your last one, which makes no sense.

This guy was the best teacher in the grad program in my two years here. He is tangential but he knows his stuff - throws in some humor. Class is not stuff, work is decent. Take him!

Great teacher, a lot of fun in class. Knows his stuff incredibly well. Tends to ramble sometimes, but it is always fun in his class. Recommended.

He tells jokes all throughout class and if you don't laugh it will be an uncomfortable class. You can go for clarity on assignments/papers and do exactly as he says and still see no improvement in grade. Has his favorites and it is very obvious.

Nice guy but his lectures are all over the place! he is unorganized and rambles. His grading is bad. He gave us a final study sheet then the final did not even have one question that was one the study sheet! Are you kidding?? skip this class if you can. he messes up his own assignments too.
