This was my first ever biology class online. I do not recommend this professor. I believed the reviews and had high exceptions ( I thought it would be my favorite class). Boy I was wrong.. Doesn't teach well at all, makes jokes if you do not understand what he is teaching, gets frustrated when you do not understand. Will never take again.

Okay so he is very funny but not understanding at all. If you don't understand the lesson he will make fun of you or talk down to you. His lessons never match the quiz you'll receive every two weeks. Extra credit is a non existent thing in his class. He spends an awful amount of time joking around in class than teaching. He is a tough grader.

Comment:

Professor Assanah is a great professor, he keeps the class engaged with his jokes. BIO1050 is a difficult course only because it builds the foundation for BIO2050 so whatever you do please STUDY! He is lenient with some of his grading (like dropping your lowest quiz) because he really wants students to fully grasp the concepts, I recommend 100%!

Professor Assanah is one of the best of the best in his department. His lectures are amazing and he makes you to get the concept so well. Read before class and after, and you will surely get an A grade. You don't really need a textbook because he gives powerpoints. His classes are so much fun and you will always look forward to them. Take him ASAP

These are the professors that college students dream about. Bio is already a difficult subject but Professor Assanah gives amazing lectures that makes everything comprehendible his analogies help too. BUY THE BOOK his lectures literally follow along. This course will give you a good basis for the rest of your science career.

Professor Assannah is hilarious and you'll definitely laugh in his class. It is biology, so of course it's not the easiest class in the world, but he always makes sure we understand the material. If he makes a mistake on a test or a quiz, he always corrects it and gives back points. The lectures are long, but go by quickly when he's talking.

Professor Assanah is a great professor. He really cares about his students and he cares that they do well in the class. On top of that, he's HILARIOUS and from the first day of class, he makes everyone comfortable with being themselves in class and not being shy. Make sure to be in lecture and lab so you'll do well in the quizzes and the tests.

Professor Assanah is a really good instructor. He is absolutely hilarious and entertaining, he gives clear examples about different topics, and he wants everyone to understand the material. For his tests though, you need to work for them. Make sure you read every question carefully. Also make sure his grammar and punctuation don't confuse you.
