Every day she did not teach. Instead, she played videos and was mad when we did not ask questions when she asked every ten seconds. There was a lot of MathLab homework, and we were only learning stuff for the homework, not the test. We had six tests that were most like the study guide, although she wouldn't stop talking during them.

Comment:

Math is not my best subject so take this review with a grain of salt , but I usually come out with an A or at the lowest a B . She does not actually teach in class, she just shows videos of her teaching which is a waste of time and money and attendance is mandatory. Her videos sometimes skips over steps so youll be basically teaching yourself .

She played made videos of each lesson and played them every single day of class, and they were posted on Canvas. She really did not teach besides that which was annoying. We had 6 tests which were like the study guide she gave out although she did talk a lot during the tests. MathLab homework was for each lesson and was harder than her tests.

Professor Connell was so in-depth with her teaching, she showed multiple pathways to finding the correct answers and she made math not miserable, which is a big deal because I hate math.

You can skip class and still pass. Show up every once and a while, but overall just be there for the tests. She is very helpful and all the homework is on MML and die before every test. She'll let you know when tests are and has review days before the tests. She also does videos for everything. Do the homework and take notes and you'll be fine.

Great teacher! There were 5 tests and one comprehensive final exam. She uploads videos to canvas showing how to do every type of problem of the test and gives out a practice test. The homework isn't too bad. Overall, she is very caring and wants you to learn.

She gives a lot of math lab homework but it is truly needed anyways to be able to practice for the tests. She is very caring if you do not understand and she does try to help in any way to prepare for tests. Would take again.

My math lab homework was horrible but she did give extra worksheets in class to add to tests and is lenient with late work. Subject matter is hard so I suggest you attend every class as it is hard to catch up.

Sweetest little lady ever! I wish I could take her again! Her class is so easy. You have online homework which is harder than your tests, but totally prepares you (it counts for 10% of your grade). There is no excuse for not making an A or B in here! She genuinely cares about you. Takes attendance but it doesn't count for anything (weird, I know).

Ms. Connell is a very good math teacher. She does not mind helping you understand something and she doesn't make you feel stupid or like you're wasting her time. Her tests are really easy. She gives a practice test before each test and it is very similar to the test. She gives a LOT of homework on My Math Lab. I would take her again!

I definitely recommend her. I took this class online not knowing what to expect but it's very simple & straight to the point. You'll have 3-6 homework assignments & 1 quiz each week & then a comprehensive final. As long as you do the work you easily pass this class. She always sends out reminders when everything due, she's great!!

Ms. Connel's tests were harder than mymathlab and what she went over in class was not on the test. I went to her before every test and she told me that I was doing great, but when I got my grade back they weren't that great. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

I loved this professor. She explains things really well and reiterates everything multiple times. She gives study guides and worksheets that are exactly like the tests. She truly wants you to do well. Saying I am horrible at math is understatement, and I understood everything in this class. The homework is on MyMathLab and it is hard

Short tests (20qs). Teaches just what's going to be on the test so Mathway com is your bff for hw. I took this class my Freshman year of high school so it was super easy for me. I went to class once a week and she takes attendance by a sign-in sheet. Shes helpful if you need it. DO NOT CHIT CHAT IN CLASS she will call you out.

Ms. Connell is one of the sweetest professors I have come across. She is incredibly helpful. I was in her office before every test with last minute questions and she appreciated me asking for help. I am terrible at math, and she really helped me out. She does not do extra credit, everything you earn is on your merit.

Comment:

Math is not my favorite subject but she is great at teaching. The entire course was in MML including the tests and final which made it easy to follow and make progress. She is constantly keeping in touch, sends frequent reminders and genuinely wants to help you succeed. Great professor!

I didn't get a chance to complete the end of course survey but I made it my obligation to submit a positive review. Ms. Connell by far was one of the best teachers that I have EVER encountered. She offered assistance and no matter what time of the day or night I contacted her, she was prompt with her response. She is absolutely an amazing teacher.

Ms. Connell is one of the best teacher's I have ever had at Troy!!! I didn't understand how to work a certain problem at the beginning of the class she asked for everyone to send her a good contact number so therefore she contacted me on the phone and worked with me until I had a clear understanding of the concept of the problem. Amazing teacher
