She's a great teacher. You learn a lot in class, though she does assign quite a lot of readings. You definitely have to work for it, but she is not an unfair grader. Very knowledgeable about the subject and raises very interesting points. Allows a plurality of opinions and is soft-spoken. Would recommend this class.

The class was mostly discussion-based, which was nice, except that it basically meant that the teacher could just let us talk if she was feeling tired. The books we read were really good, if boring. Also, she talks really soft. But she's really nice.

The material covered in the class was varied and well-chosen. There was a lot of reading, but, if you ran out of time to read, the material was basically spoon-fed. Her grading was weird; she kept taking off points because she didn't like my writing style, yet she failed to effectively explain why. Overall, though, grades were pretty high.

The best class in the Visions of Freedom focus. Least reading, but best focus. You glean so much from it. Grant explains everything perfectly. You make tons of connections about why life is the way it is. She's very personable, not at all arrogant, and makes herself available. A little tough on grades. Nice balance of teaching and discussion.

Loads of reading, none of which is terribly clear until she spoonfeeds the analysis to us. Nice lady, and the papers are easy.

This class is a blast. There's lots of reading and essays, but she really makes the material interesting and fun. Very smart and extremely witty and leads intelligent conversations. If you're up for some work but want an awesome class, take her's.
