Comment:

Dr. Fitzgerald is one of the best professors I have had yet. He is passionate about ethics and it is very evident in his teaching. Very approachable and caring towards his students. Reviewing notes and reading the assigned books are important because he gives quizzes most weeks. Attendance is important. I wish I could take his class again!

Great professor! You can tell he really cares. He is very approachable. Reading quizzes every class, some require you to really read. Two papers, three exams. You break off into these lame small group sessions (Fridays for me) with the TAs to discuss the book material. Attendance is required at those.

The first half of the course is nothing but group work and the second portion is quizzes and exam heavy. There is an outline of questions that coressponds to each chapter however, we don't know which questions will appear on the exam. The grade weight is always changing, and quizzes begin at the start of each class and at the end of each class!

this is a great professor. the reading quizzes are one question and are not difficult if you read the assigned chapters. he is passionate and if you pay attention and do you work you cannot fail his class

Great professor. The class included interesting topics and he tried to include everyone in the discussions. Required to read three books and have almost a reading quiz each class while reading the book. The tests are fairly easy if you read the book and go to class. He also gives out a lot of extra credit!

He knows what he is talking about but never finishes a sentence. You will have a quiz almost every single class on the reading or the notes. The tests are hard and graded even harder. I felt like I had to please him to get full credit on short answer. Hard graded essay on every test.

He is great to listen to and he is willing to listen to other viewpoints even if they are different from his own. You will learn about many other perspectives in his class. would definitely take his class again.

He is a great professor. Truly passionate about what he teaches. The readings that are assigned are a lot but if you actually read you will do fine on the quizzes. He does not hesitate to answer questions or make you feel dumb. He wants to make sure you understand the material. Definitely recommend him if you have an interest in ethics.

Great professor! You can tell he loves his job. He is very passionate about the topic. You will read 3 novels which are fairly interesting. Every time there is a reading assignment due, expect a in class quiz. Attendance not mandatory but go to class especially for the reading quizzes and on Fridays! Gave extra credit twice through the semester.

Expect a "pop" quiz after every assigned reading. He's a really nice guy, but can be vague in his answers to questions. Helpful if you reach out to him. Only two tests- a midterm and final. Always read over notes before class. Not an easy A. Prepare to work hard if thats the grade you're aiming for.

You can tell that he really loves his job and this subject. Made you really think about the topic. Pop quizzes on reading but he tells you when they will be. Must go on Fridays but makes up cause he only had 50 min classes. Would 10/10 recommend

He expects a lot from his students. there is a lot of reading and there are in class quizzes after every reading is due. He is funny and personable. keep up with the work and you'll be fine. do leave everything to the last minute. final is mostly cumulative. Friday classes are mandatory.

A great professor, I just didn't really enjoy the class. You have a few books to read that you need to read to pass. You will have a reading quiz every time. Also tests are graded strictly, but if you do well on everything else you'll be okay.

LOVED HIS CLASS! really suggest doing all the readings, which aren't hard. His lectures were awesome , he really wants to make sure you understand what he is talking about. Almost made me change my major to Socy

Loved both this class and this teacher. Super great lectures, loves participation & dosent mind explaining something again if there are questions. Attendance is taken by random quizzes but there easy so just come to class and read the books assigned. Super easy too talk to and interesting course material, would love to take another class with him!

His class can be very challenging, you just have to stay on top of your work and readings. If you have any questions his TA is very helpful at answering them for you and helping you understand the material.
