I took her Just 311 class. We would watch some videos as well. The textbooks that we had to read were interesting and kept my attention. There are going to be tests after the books have been read. The journals are not that bad. There will also be a mock trial. It was fun to do.

Professor Bannister is probably one of the best teachers I have had yet at NEIU. I haven't finished the class yet and aren't sure about my grade but that honestly doesn't matter. She showed me things I thought I was too stubborn to realize and I recommend her to anyone to take.

She is an amazing, HILARIOUS teacher! I really looked forward to her class! If you don't have a sense of humor, you will probably not enjoy the class. Take her! You will really enjoy her and you will learn a lot! I know I sure did!

She's a brilliant professor and will bend over backwards for you, but her classes aren't much of a challenge. If you do the work, you'll have no problem getting the grade. Heck, some people even get away with not doing the work and still get the grade - as she's so nice. She has a lot of knowledge though and is worth the time.

Excellent Professor! She really is passionate about true justice and how to stop inequities that are present in our society. Very Fair, understanding, helpful, and supportive. She wants to see your growth and development overall as a person upon completion of the course. Sweet professor with lots of energy and very Funny!! TAKE HER... GREAT TEACHER

Loads of justice experience, as a lawyer and a feminist. Very compassionate and understanding student circumstances. Lots of laughs but takes material seriously. One of the best. No big cite-type papers and grades gently. A great experience. Take her for anything. Lots of wisdom in this woman.

Cool at the beginning. Made class interesting & easy.If you say something she doesn't like, you will notice it in the grade she gives you.She says one thing, but forgets what she says & then doesn't back up what she said before. You could argue with her forever & she will not give you the points for it. If you are 1 pt away from an A tough s**t!
