He's a super caring professor, he's more than willing to let you make up homework if you miss the deadline or something comes up. The hardest part about the class was the concept sketches, don't wait until the last minute to work on them because they take so many hours. But overall really easy to get an A as long as you put in effort and show up.

Professor Reynolds is super coolasaurus x 10^6!!! I was in his ses121 class, and fr he's really the best, so nice and considerate. If you're struggling in his class he is very understanding. That being said, there's so much homework for his class, so definitely start work far ahead of when it's due. The content is pretty easy though.

One of the best professors I have had. He isnt a tough grader by any means, but that doesnt mean he doesnt look for the right content. If you put in the effort it should be an easy class. Take good notes and stay focused because he has a lot of knowledge that can be quite helpful. I was not a geology major, but he sure made me want to be one.

Professor Reynolds is such a funny person, but the structure of this class was not enjoyable for me at all. Every test is memorizing 12-25 pages out of the textbook word-for-word including diagrams. On the day of tests you get a blank sheet of paper and have to fill both sides with drawings and writing answering 2 out of the 25 concepts. VERY HARD

I love Steve Reynolds almost as much as I love his cats. Ive had him twice now, and he always makes his expectations very clear. Its easy to be a good student in his class. Hes the reason I changed majors from astrophysics to geology. All the concept sketches come straight from the book/lectures, and youll learn as long as you participate.

Geology 101 was a really interesting and fairly easy class. Attendance isn't mandatory but the class is pretty interesting and he gives lots of in class activities to boost your grade so I'd recommend going. Weekly homework assignments kind of take a while but once you get the hang of them it's no problem to finish them by the time they're due.

Steve is an amazing geologist and professor. Attendance isn't mandatory for most classes but his lectures are great; you will learn a lot just from listening. The online homework takes time to complete but just work on it a little each night and you'll be done by Friday with no problem. Very easy and fun class!

Funny guy, great professor. Lectures have random "quizzes" that you will get full points for if you are in lecture, so go to class. 3 exams that are concept sketches, which come directly from study guides that come from the textbook. Weekly homeworks due before class that are easy to do but time consuming. I highly recommend this professor!!

Him and Julia Johnson are a great duo! Im a business major and loved how they did their tests, their homework was very TIME CONSUMING though so you will devote time to each chapter if by yourself. Tests are drawings/explanations that you make based on the chapters which have examples literally in the book. science credit recommend!

Steve is honestly the best professor I've had in my 3 years here. Not only is he extremely passionate about the material, but he has the ability to teach it to anyone who don't have prior geological knowledge. 8/8 mate. Class-wise: basically do some reading, take the project seriously, and you'll be cruising by with an A+

Professor Reynolds might be the best TEACHER I've ever had. I could not care less about how hard or easy his class is or isn't. I have actually learned more from his classes than I was prepared for. Amazingly fun class and Steve is a great teacher.

Boring class and tough grader. I got an A on both the research paper and the poster project and still ended up with a C. How does that work? Avoid.

To refer to him as just "Steve Reynolds" or "Professor Reynolds" is not at all accurate. He is "THE STEVE REYNOLDS" without question. you are not better at geology than him, if you ever are... you are A: a liar. or B: the luckiest human being on earth.

Couldn't ask for a more knowledgable or engaging field geologist. Though this course only had one in field weekend, it was filled with some of the most exciting geology in the state. Exactly what you'd expect from Dr. Reynolds.

Someone mentioned in a prior rating that "Reynolds is to geology students what Obie Wan Kenobi was to Luke Skywalker as a young Jedi." I couldn't agree more. Awesome professor. even better geologist. The guy is a legend in the field.

Reynolds is to geology students what Obie Wan Kenobi was to Luke Skywalker as a young Jedi. He mysteriously appears in spirit form at rock outcrops, provides his wisdom, and disappears without a trace. He travels from place to place with a Brunton compass through bodies of rock, which is why he is so hard to find on campus.

Dr. Reynolds is a great professor. I have no interest in geology, so attending class definitely helped me stay up-to-date. It's helpful to make a friend and work on the quizzes/investigations together. Class is not hard, but it requires time. I pulled an all nighter to study before each exam, but I easily got an A.
